What can I say? This is one of our favourite restaurants in Banff. Every single time the food and service is excellent. We love sitting on the patio on a nice day but find the indoor seating just as relaxing. I cannot say enough about the impeccable service: the commitment to excellence is evident from start to finish.
Their hours have changed but are not posted anywhere. Google says they open at 11:30 am. When we arrived their sign says they open at 11:30 am but we were told they were closed until 4:30 pm. Very disappointing. Lovely patio. And interesting menu.
We booked a last minute table at Waldhaus after our plans changed so I was a little nervous about what type of table we would get. We were seated downstairs in the bar area in a quiet corner, and it was perfect. We split the pea soup and the pork schnitzel with mushroom sauce. Both were delicious. The pea soup was not what I was expecting--it was a creamy orange-ish color, but I still liked it. The service was perfect. Drinks were good. I highly recommend.
