I'm giving 1 star because of the cheap management and customer service. The manager asked me to get my order take out even though there are available tables. The espresso was really bad. If you guys focus on gelato you can easily not serve coffee anymore. The owner needs to take action before this place turns to....

This location is ambient, located conveniently in the corner of an intersection. I had a problem before in the past with some gift transactions, and the employee and manager handled it professionally and promptly. Thank you! And also good variety of gelato flavours, it’s so hard to choose!

Parking: Just like other locations on 17 av, you need to pay during the day and free parking after 6 pm

Our service was clear, kind, and efficient. They have a time limit which I appreciate, so that all can enjoy. We had gelato and pistachio cake both were out of this world amazing. Taste like home. The cafe was clean, and just beautiful. Loved every moment of our visit.

Amato no longer allows pets on the patio. Their desserts are okay, but I used to enjoy the patio with my dog during walks on 17th while having something to eat. Unfortunately, this is a deal breaker for me. Anyway, they don’t need me, as it seems to be a very successful place.

Terrible service. Gave me the wrong flavour after I tried one bite and realizing it was wrong I went to the counter to tell them it’s the wrong flavour. Got told I couldn’t have it switched because I had “ eaten it” worker with dark curly hair then proceeded to call her manager.
Offered a refund I said okay and after asked to order the correct ice cream, she refused and said her manager said if I didn’t like that one I can’t have another one. Proceeded to offer calling her manager, he tells em that she did her job and that I ate the entire thing. I then clarified that I had only had one bite.
The other staff that originally made the mistake proceeded to tell me that he usually gives this flavour when asked which is two different kinds. Then proceeded with major attitude tell me that I can look at the flavours and see that it’s not here. I didn’t mind that they did not have the flavour but what I did mind is that I asked them to give me a different one because I didn’t like the one they gave me ( which I had originally not ordered )
I usually wouldn’t mind, people make mistakes but the entitlement was unnecessary. It was very unprofessional and I really didn’t appreciate it. Someone really needs to hire people that can actually treat customers kindly , and people who actually want to be there

We went in the store and were just going through the flavors. The staff rudely and aggressively asked us to show them our tickets first! Told them we're just browsing the flavors and asked if we could taste a flavor. She very rudely told us that we could only taste 2 flavors after we have got the tickets first! It was the worst customer service I've ever experienced in an ice cream shop and we immediately turned away!
Phenomenal experience, amazing service and super friendly staff! The ice cream is absolutely to die for!! I come here often and have never been dissapointed!

Love going here after dinner! The vibe is just really nice and the patio is great too (when patio season is in season). They have a variety of flavours to choose from but I always end up getting the rose and green tea gelato :)) I also love how they give u a free waffle cookie with every gelato order just in case you don’t get the waffle cone!

It was dinner time so there were a lot of people and there weren't many seats, but the gelato was delicious. I had tangerine sorbet and strawberry and it was sweet and delicious without any artificial taste. I will visit again next time because the staff responded very kindly.
