I've now done Alforno's Afternoon Tea twice as it's great value for money. At only $40/person this was one of the cheaper options in the city & the price didn't affect quality at all! We were given just enough food, there was a good variety of teas available and the service was good. The only negative was the noise level...but that was no fault of Alforno's. Would definitely recommend!
Their cakes and breads are so good, also the foods are delicious. They have a friendly customer service.

I really enjoyed my time here for afternoon tea. I was really impressed by the sandwiches. I normally don't like croissants but it was delicious - really buttery and fluffy.i also really liked the tea! I got the Rooibos and it had a slight vanilla taste - didn't need to add any cream or sugar and enjoyed as is.
The food was excellent! Nice selections and variety- all the classics for afternoon tea and more. The portions were generous and the presentation was lovely. The eclectic China dishes are beautiful. Sadly, the experience lacks ambiance. Despite this, it is an excellent value and I'd recommend!
I booked this afternoon tea to take my daughter out for a treat. When we arrived it was so busy and our table was not ready. When we were taken to our table it was not ready and mistook us for a table of 6 even though there was just us two standing there. We waited again and finally got to our table late. We got our tea and cakes and left to our own devices. We did not speak to anyone again and I had to flag down our server to get me a box and tell her we were done. She brought the box and I expected to get the bill at that time. We waited for 30 more mins and still did not see her so I got up to ask another server if I could pay, she said she would get our server. She didn't come and then 10 more mins went by and she showed someone else to the table next to me and I tried to get her attention but she looked away and went back down stairs. I got up and went downstairs so I could pay. Our server was on the till helping someone so I lined up for 10 more mins and another person on the till asked to help me so I explained I wanted to pay and she said sorry you will have to wait for your server. I got back in line and waited for the customer in front to be done and when I finally got to the till my server did not acknowledge my long wait or anything. It was 50 mins from the time I got the box till I paid and left. I realize the place was busy but paying $40 per person for this tea, I would have expected better or at least any service. If you don't have the staff to look after these afternoon tea customers then you shouldn't be offering it. I am very disappointed in what should have been a lovely afternoon spent with my daughter.
We love afternoon tea and Alforno has a lovely one at a reasonable price! Lots of tasty bits with a good variety of flavours and textures. We only wished that the tea selection was better. Besides that, service was good (we didn't expect much because it was a busy afternoon there), and the room was bright and airy. Not a traditional tea house, but we appreciated the fact that we were seated in the back corner under the skylight!
The staff were extremely friendly and the property was very clean. Since the hotel was pet friendly we brought our small dog along but there was nowhere safe for the dog to relieve herself close by. There were grassy areas, one was 2 blocks away and one was 4 blocks away both had lots of homeless people openly doing drugs, broken glass, & and empty viles of unknown substances laying around. This is a very nice hotel but not for pets even though it's labeled as pet friendly. It would be great if the management put a pet relief green space area on the roof of the hotel where pets could be taken for a safe place to do their thing even if it's fake grass. Maybe supply bags and a hose so owners could clean up any mess their dog might make.
Fabulous location. The rooms are spacious, clean and fresh. The housekeeping staff are amazing keeping the room replenished with fresh towels and bed linen. Wifi very patchy. No bathrobes in room as stated. Regency Club Lounge is expensive, and the quality of the food was just alright if a little cold. Gluten free bread, only on request and a muffin. No further gluten free options available throughout the day – staff were a little abrupt and hovered unwelcomingly. The Regency Club Lounge has no atmosphere and lacks appearance. It was an empty room with a few large event table and chairs put in it. It was not set up for dining, table clothes were not changed after each guest, you cleared away your own dishes. It was not a pleasant experience or inviting. The hotel doesn't look that well from outside but is nice enough when you are in, nothing special.
The best hotel downtown Calgary! Located right beside Stephen Avenue and near the Calgary Tower! The rooms are so so nice! They have the comfiest beds and best pillows ever. Our entire family loved our suite and loved the Hyatt Regency! 10/10 recommend! The room service food is also amazing.
We arrived 1.5h after check in time (3:00PM vs 4:30PM) and our rooms were not ready. They were ready 2.5h (5:30PM) after check-in time and nobody notified us, we had to go to the room ourselves to check. Front desk staff offered to comp our parking ($32, after we insisted it to be comped) and when we tried leaving the parkade it was not comped.

Wifi rarely worked. The parking in the Telus convention centre next door is half the price. Will not be staying again. Also the price I booked for didn’t show taxes or additional “fees” so my bill at the end was a bit of a shock. Not very sound proof. Toilets are very loud and I could hear the guy peeing upstairs in the morning.
Very poor Internet services.. I am complexly disappointed and upset of WIFI. I claimed many times at the front desk and they transferred me to the internet provider who called my room saying that all will be ok, but was not OK and the Internet speed is making me sick. You should respect giving good service to your guests. I will not come to this hotel again.
The hotel has very modern rooms and is in a perfect location downtown, steps from shops and restaurants. Room was very large, nice view of city. Fridge, coffee maker, lots of counter space/storage and outlets for electronics. Pool on 18th floor had a nice view of city. Everything was very clean and staff were very helpful. The tv in the room was very large, everything was perfect, would definitely stay again!
Have stayed with hyatts before this was pretty sub par. Great stay great trip to Calgary just need to improve their cleaning standards and address hot water delays such a waste of water. Restaurant was amazing downstairs
I stayed for 11 nights and my points were not credited to me. I also struggled to find someone to help me with my program, person responsible went on leave and receptions had no idea about our meetings. They asked me to contact concern person and when I contacted concerned department, they hold my call and never answered back, I waited on line for 20 minutes.
