Waited 10 minutes to be brought to our table..... My daughter's cup was stained. Saucer dirty. The waitress was the best part of the experience. She explained the different teas and answered all our questions! The teas arrived and we were told to wait 4-5 min. I chose the Al Forno blend very nice. Pink colour. The food I chose was the veggie option. Croissant with salad delicious. Egg and cuke good( bread a little hard) the cheese sandwich was dry needed mayo or cucumber something for moisture. Scones tasty.... My daughter said the tartelette with gelatine was the best. The little lemon merangs were excellent not too sweet. Carrot cake tooo sweet. Brownie has no flavour. The almond macaroon was the best of the 3. All in all an average experience. Again kudos for our waitress. EXCELLANT.

Very poor accessibility for wheelchair. Had to sit in the patio area which was full of mosquitoes. Sandwiches weren't great. Cucumbers had way too much dressing, roll up was tasteless and dry and not expected for afternoon tea. Scones and sweets were very good though. This was a very noisy experience due to traffic noise.

If you do not eat meat it is definitely not value for money. Not much choice overall. Disappointed we were only given one small pot of tea. It is Afternoon Tea??!!

Had a lovely breakfast at Alforno! Their coffee and food is always good! I will say we felt very rushed_upon ordering coffees the served constantly came around wanting to take our food order despite us telling them we were taking our time & will let them know when we're ready to order. The restaurant also wasn't full and busy so didn't appreciate constantly being pestered to rush.

A tad disappointed. The place was uncomfortably cool, the pizza was just OK. The pasta dish was very good.

An excellent experience from start to finish. The food was fantastic, the service attentive, and the price far more manageable than any other high tea experience in the city. 100% would recommend!

Our experience was great. We had afternoon tea with our girlfriends and moms and everyone loved it!

When I called to make the reservation for afternoon tea for 7 people, the person taking it was very helpful and asked specifically about allergies. I told her 2 of our party had severe allergies, 1 to olives and 1 to peanuts. They noted it down and asked me to call again a few days before the reservation if there were any allergen updates/changes to people attending. I called back 2 days before tea and let them know the person allergic to peanuts was also allergic to tree nuts. They said thanks and hung up. The day of the reservation we had 2 servers, it seemed one was training the other. I mentioned to both of them all the allergies and pointed out the people who had them and their response was “yes we know.” When the food came out there were several items containing almonds which my friend had to point out to the servers, the almond items were touching other items, and one of the desserts had either a chopped nut or seed on top. The servers were very apologetic and went back and forth to the kitchen several times trying to determine what to feed my friend. They eventually came back with 3 small pieces of carrot cake and 3 small pieces of chocolate cake. By this point my friend was quite concerned about cross contamination so I'm not sure if she ate any of it. When the bills came (we all paid separately) she got charged full price. She paid it and then told us after we left Alforno, had she told us when the bills came we would have brought it up with the manager. Overall, the food was good for the price, but the fact that they didn't seem to take the allergies seriously or have anything prepared in advance despite the notice was really surprising. And we were all unimpressed they still expected her to pay full price for their mistake.

Service was excellent, our reserved table was already set with china and flatwear, and Veronica soon came with the selection of loose leaf teas for our individual tea pots. The food was delicious, we especially liked the ham and cheese toast which held a surprise burst of flavor. The scones were buttery, the compote was flavorful and not too sweet. Overall it was a wonderful way to celebrate Valentine's Day

Our server Sahil was amazing! Great energy and truly made our experience the full package. The high tea treats exceeded our expectations. Would definitely come back.

Afternoon Tea at Alforno was a great choice to celebrate the festive season with family. The ambience was warm and relaxed and the sandwiches scones and cakes were fresh and delicious . There was plenty of tea selections and our server Rachel was friendly and knowledgeable and very attentive to our dietary requirements . I would totally recommend Afternoon Tea here and hope to re visit . Thankyou Rachel & Alforno!

Service was excellent. More than I anticipated with afternoon tea. The scones were an absolute favorite. Will be back!

This experience overall was amazing! We had no idea it was one whole tea pot PER PERSON, it definitely made for a funny video. It was for a friend's 30th birthday and it was the perfect girls' relaxed night out. We had a couple girls that were late but the server was extremely kind and patient.

I recently visited for an afternoon tea with two friends. The atmosphere was lovely, and the fresh sandwiches and treats were enjoyable. However, we encountered significant issues regarding portion sizes and value. We received two trays: one for one person and another for two. The individual tray contained just 2 scones and 2 macarons, while the larger tray offered only 3 scones and 3 macarons for 2 people. This was embarrassing especially since we were paying separately . When I asked for clarification about the portion sizes, the explanation provided was not reasonable or satisfactory. I would recommend that the restaurant clearly communicate any limitations on portion sizes before bookings.

Alforno's Afternoon Tea is the best in Calgary, not just with their thoughtfully served menu and value but their warm hospitality. A worthy standout with great indoor or outdoor seatings!
