We were visiting from Winnipeg. And a family member suggested this place. It is the best Cold Cut Bahn Mi I've had...Ever!! 12/10
There something about the meats and especially the pate they use. My wife, daughter and I also tried the lemon grass chicken, beef sate and chicken over the course of our weeks stay. All 10/10
We also met the owner Tra. She was so nice. She sat and spoke to us for a few minutes. And convinced me to finally try the Cold cut...I was never a fan of that particularsandwaich..most restaurants use no pate and the meat tasted blah. I have to say she converted me.
You can really tell that she took pride in her food and restaurant.
Next time we visit Calgary we will be eating there again ...I look forward to her new location.
Great Job!!

Banh Mi Nhu Y is the go-to spot for fresh, flavorful Vietnamese subs in Calgary. The bread is perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside, the fillings are generous, and the pickled veggies add the perfect crunch. Fast service and great value make it a local favorite.

We got the beef subs and they were amazing! They were very generous with their meat portion as well. They’re more pricey than other Banh Mi shops but definitely worth it. My only suggestion is that they move away from microwaving plastic. (We noticed that they reheat the meat by microwaving it in a plastic measuring cup). Aside from that nuance, we’d highly recommend.

Not the greatest. Im glad I've read the reviews and chose not to have fish oil on my sandwich. That sounds unpleasant. Went with satay beef. Came from a bowl she brought out from the back, that was heated with saran wrap on top. Weird. It was overall OK, in a pinch.

I had a disappointing experience. The staff didn’t ask if I wanted soy sauce or fish sauce — they just added soy sauce without asking, which ruined the flavor. The service was slow and unfriendly; I waited nearly 10 minutes for just 2 banhmi. The bread was soft and slightly cold when I took a bite in my car — not crispy at all. After just two bites, I threw the whole sandwich away. Staff are rude, ignore the customer.
1 star.

Banh Mi Nhu Y is a Calgary gem! Authentic, fresh, and incredibly flavorful banh mi every time. Their crispy baguettes and perfectly balanced fillings (especially the grilled pork!) are always on point. Great value and quick service. A must-try for a delicious Vietnamese sub!

This is one of my favorite banh mi restaurants—I’ve been coming here for years. The food is still just as delicious as always, though the prices are higher now.

This place to me is one of the best sub stores in Calgary and I've been going here since the day they opened and I have not noticed any changes in the quality or quantity of their Ingridents. Very reasonable price. According to the owner the quality of the beef they use is AA and each sub has 100 grams of beef and is very filling! Would highly recommend!
