I had the birria and the festival in Eau Claire and it was absolutely incredible! The best I've had in the city
I came across this Mexican restaurant by chance while looking for a place to eat in Northeast Calgary, and I’m so glad I did. The moment you walk in, it has such a cozy, authentic vibe that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a little corner of Mexico.

Based on customer reviews, The Burrito Mexican Food - Authentic Restaurant & Catering is a hidden gem run by a genuinely nice family. This authentic Mexican family owned restaurant serves dishes that clearly reflect pride for their culture. The tacos are stacked high and bursting with flavor, with meat that is soft, melted in the mouth, and really juicy. The birria tacos are SO good, and the chicken tacos are great food and great value. For breakfast, the huevos ranchero comes with scrambled eggs, green peppers, tomatoes, spice, big portion beans, and hot tortilla with incredible taste. The guacamole is plentiful and made with lots of real avocados, and the micheladas are unlike anything else. Every dish is made from scratch. The space is sweet, small, and clean, with a very homely feel. Prices are very reasonable, and the cook has talent for flavor. It is a new spot that is officially a new go-to for many customers.
