The atmosphere of Betty Lou's is like a classic movie. It's elegant, beautiful, and much quieter than a regular bar. The service is phenomenal and the drinks and desserts tasted amazing! Although it is quite pricy, the unique experience is worth the price. It's a perfect place to feel fancy and catch up with friends without the noise or disruptions of a regular bar. We felt welcomed for our entire stay and not as though we were being rushed out for the next group. Highly recommend checking out Betty Lou's!

Drinks taste good.It is dark and hard to see menus.Seating is lacking, and if on a date can end up at a little coffee table with others you do not know.Food is expensive and not worth it. Drinks are over priced for what getting. Honestly 90% of all other places can do these cocktail.Rules are a joke and not enforce. Guy with dirty shirt and backwards ball cap was allowed in. People recording on phones. The door and phone thing is a total waste of time if going to have lines of people.Waitress blew up a guy's date "oh you two were here last night" nope, him and the other lady were. Way to speak easy at the speak easy !Overall, more of a cocktail bar with hassle built in!Spread your money out and go see a few cocktail bars around the city. There are a ton in walking distance on 17th ave sw 8th ave se n sw and Center Street.Parking: Good luck finding a spot

wow Wow WOW!We had such a wonderful time here. The staff are so attentive and knowledgeable; they really take care of you. The atmosphere is beyond cool, and the telephone password entry is full of intrigue and excitement. And let's not forget the drinks, the many (many) (manymanymany) fabulous drinks. This place is a cocktail lover's paradise. And a little something for everyone, too; gin, rye, tequila, aquavit!, beer, mocktails, and more. What a special place.

Waiter took a half finished drink away from me. Mentioned it to him and he said he'd have it remade. Manager came back and started arguing with me about it and offered me 10% off instead of remaking the drink. Was it worth it guys?

A very spy chic experience! Don't tell anyone your password!! Love the elegant antique furniture and the music adds to the truly fascinating speakeasy atmosphere. The bar tenders are friendly yet professional. The drinks ? are high end and are certainly worth it. Go for the titillating burlesque show. You won't regret it!

I rate the cocktails as 5/5 because this place is clearly made to lounge about and indulge in excellent drinks in a dreamy, nostalgic setting. The experience is what brings you to this place. You have to follow the red light down the stairs to an old telephone that you pick up to speak your personal password into for your reservation. Someone comes to get you from the library wall and you are escorted into a room with antique furniture and black and white movies projected onto the wall. The cocktails are named after people from the early 1900s and they were all wonderful. We had the "Alice Joyce," "Anaïs Nin," and the cocktail special "The Great Gatsby," and the Old Fashioned special "To Have and Have Not." They were all amazing, but my favourite was the "Anaïs Nin" with its autumnal pumpkin flavours that made me feel all snuggly inside. The food menu is bare-bones, so I will say that you should really plan to come here to enjoy the atmosphere and drinks rather than eat. I would really love to come back for a Burlesque or Jazz show in the future to see how the room feels with that kind of setup. Very neat speakeasy and a one of a kind experience.

Hhidden gem of a cocktail bar is a nostalgic journey worth taking. Reservations are a must, but the unique experience begins there – they provide a secret code to unlock the door, adding an extra layer of exclusivity.Once inside, you're transported to a bygone era with its old-school charm. The telephone ritual to announce your arrival adds an element of mystery, making you feel like a VIP. The ambiance is a perfect blend of vintage aesthetics and trendy vibes. The bar's attention to detail is remarkable, from the classic black and white videos playing on the walls to the carefully curated playlist capturing the essence of that era. Sipping on expertly crafted cocktails while immersed in the atmosphere is an absolute delight. For a night of exceptional cocktails, a touch of secrecy, and a journey back in time, this bar is an absolute winner. I can't wait to return and unlock more flavors from their time-traveling menu. Cheers to a truly memorable experience!

Great atmosphere, but skip the food and stick with the drinks. The food itself was not good. It very much seemed like the "kitchen" was a microwave and some crackers. The drinks were very tasty and clever, but the service was not attentive, despite that it wasn't busy. If an establishment focuses on drinks, there should be effort made to ensure your clients never have an empty glass. We would have stayed longer if we had been regularly checked on.

Fantastic outing with friends...the atmosphere was top notch and the cocktails 10+. Bartenders curated a couple drinks based upon a rough suggestion of what I was looking for. We did not try any food.Would go again
