Bobby Chao's has been our go-to for dimsum, BBQ dishes (pork and duck) and other Chinese dishes. They are reasonably-priced and have never failed us. We've tried about 80% of their menu and we've enjoyed every single one of them!

Ordered via Uber eat. Never had something this bad before. The bbq duck and bbq pork on rice got hair in it. The taste and the texture of the meat were just like it’s been in the fridge for long. Ordered wontons soup and the wontons were sour so obviously something’s wrong with the meat. We’ve been to restaurants many times and it’s usually delicious when we dine in. But this Uber eats order has upset me a lot cuz I’ve paid for garbage.

Dimsum is 20 percent off for most of the day. Say what? Yessss it's an amazing price value in the city. The quality was super good rivals Vancouver. Must try their bbq selection it's also really good.

If you're ever in the NW definitely try out Bobby Chao's. We came here for dim sum and was impressed by the variety of items they had to offer. We ordered the 1) Bobby Chao Peanut Dumplings (generous filling of meat and peanuts). With the peanut dumplings you can really taste the essence of the peanuts. 2) Seafood dumplings (unique wrapping presentation with a good balance of scallops and shrimp). The seafood dumplings were saucy with lots of scallop. 3)The deep fried shrimp wontons (heavy filling of shrimp and the wontons had a golden look). These golden wontons had a nice crunch biting into it and flavor was good. 4) The beef tripe (good mix of scallions, tripe and ginger). The beef tripe was probably my least favorite as it didn't taste as fresh. 5) The bbq crepe (thicker crepe but chunks of bbq pork meat). They have a separate kitchen where they marinate the bbq pork asian style so you know it's fresh.The dishes here are around $6 to $8 per dish but the quality and taste is worth the price paid. Now after being this full I'll probably pass out.Edit: ordered delivery and this restaurant has totally changed. The food is terrible and the quality is no longer there. Their food either has a lot of msg or it can be fairly tasteless. It feels like the cooks do not care anymore.

I have been visiting Bobby's for over ten years. I have always been a loyal customer. However, I have found that in recent times, the service has been terrible - especially the waitress with the short hair.Recently, everytime I ask for something, all I get from the waitresses is "just wait". I wait and they eventually forget that I had asked for assistance. The restaurant is not busy.Sometimes, I will go to just get takeout and don't leave tip. You can see the facial expression on the waitress change.The BBQ pork is not what it used to be. The service is, for a lack of better word, trash.You (the owner) need to address the waitresses attitude and efficiency. There is a reason why customers leave a small tip or no tip at all. The service is terrible.You have lost a loyal customer who has been visiting for over ten years. Never will I come back and I will be sure to let all my friends and family know.
