The satay noodles are the best I have ever had and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely visit again.

As close to Vietnam without the flight so good
Great little Vietnamese restaurant with awesome service. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The food was also very good. We tried their Banh Mi, vermicelli bowl, pho, beef stew and Vietnamese coffee. Everything was very good, 2 thumbs up. It’s a small place with limited seating. Located in a strip shopping centre you should be able to find free parking either out front or in the adjacent lot.

I come for breakfast as I searching something different than Canadian breakfast or Chinese dim sum. It actually great, food delicious, friendly staff. This is my first time here, one of the staffs explained every dishes for me, even make a potion for my son. I’d come back next time in lunch time by 11am as they will have more dishes.

Wow, what a find! We came here on a Friday evening and were the only ones (around 5:30). I had the signature beef stew with the recommended French baguette. It looks very simple but the flavours! And the beef was so tender. Truly wonderful. Paul had the District 9 Soup, a beef satay. When I asked him how he would describe it, he said, “Spectacular!” His only wish was for MORE broth, “because it is just so good!” The atmosphere is very eclectic which belies the quality of this food!
Update: Jan. 2026. I had the lemongrass chicken banh mi. Oh. Wow. You have to try this place if you love food. The flavour, the texture!

A friend recommend this place and it was the perfect week night spot for a casual dinner date! The restaurant is small and was busy when we arrived, but we only had to wait for 15 minutes before getting a table. The pork jowl was THE BEST! The two ladies working there were cooking and serving everything up, and made you feel welcome and well taken care of! We will be going back to try the brunch.

The food was incredible and the staff were amazing. The place was busy on a Sunday morning, but we called ahead and were able to grab an open table.

I have been to this Vietnamese restaurant three times now and have really enjoyed it each time. The food feels thoughtful and well put together, with a subtle French influence that adds polish without taking away from the Vietnamese flavors.
One of my favorites has been the mixed noodles. The sauce is rich with a gentle heat that is easy to enjoy, and the combination of crispy wontons and chicken works very well together. Each bite has good balance and texture without feeling heavy.
Their pho is also excellent. The broth is comforting and flavorful, with a noticeable cinnamon note that adds warmth and depth. It is clean, aromatic, and very satisfying.
We have also tried the beef jerky and papaya salad, both of which were fresh, zesty, and full of flavor. The chopped cheese banh mi is a nice twist, but it leans more toward banh mi style flavors than a classic New York chopped cheese.
Overall, this is a restaurant I keep coming back to because the food is consistently good, approachable, and interesting without trying too hard. I would happily recommend it and look forward to returning again.
