Great clean atmosphere nicely done inside.....All the crew that works there are super friendly. They also have a great selection of yummy foods and drinks to choose from. Recommend giving this place a try u won't be disappointed. Thanks for the great service!!! We shall be back

Time to take another break from Penny Black. We took a good long break from this place about a year ago when the server slammed our food down in front of us and we never saw her again. This time there new rule is they won’t give you a take out container to take leftovers home if you order the daily special. Sad as it just gets thrown away and their food is really good. Could have been my lunch for the next day. Take your own Tupperware to Penny Black or just don’t go.

I just had this Cajun Chicken sandwich, and fries. I ordered from skip. I now will have to try in person as I am sure it will taste better fresh out of the kitchen over delivery 🙂
Best Black and Tan in Calgary! Give this pub a try for yourself and your friends. After an exhaustive search, our team has been coming here every Wednesday for over 2 years. Good food. Exceptional service...especially by Jessica and Stacey.

The food and the live music were good. But the experience was totally ruined by our server. Seems like she was too busy to serve us - when she had to wait 20 seconds for us to order she made a snarky comment about being too busy to wait for us to order. And when I asked for a glass of water without success for the third time she again mentioned that she had been to busy to get it, even though she had just come from the bar with other drink orders for the table. She then came back with a glass of water for me and slammed it on the table aggressively. Maybe she was having a bad day, but with this kind of service... I would not recommend this place.

A great local! The staff are friendly and attentive. They have pool tables, tons of seating, a nice patio and lots of TVs to watch the game.
The food is great and there are lots of options.
They have VLTs so no kids allowed.

Really good pub, good thing is that they open until late (1 AM at least on weekends) so we usually go with my soccer team after our matches.
The prices are OK but the seating area is really big and plenty of room to select on top of the bar
