"Surprise Bag" from TooGoodToGo turned out to be a real surprise, with mold.The whole bag consisted of this bread, cake, and one not-so-fresh bun. It's safe to say that half of it had to be thrown away.

Well how I wish this was a sit-in restaurant. Vibhor Shahi most respectfully welcomed me to his bakery and it will be an unforgettable experience. His own story and background were inspiring to listen to. I badly wanted to sit down, and there were some empty chairs for takeout customers and I took full advantage of that, starting with a Jamaican patty and a delicious mug of Americano. As for takeout, I decided to go with 3 of his recommendations of sweeties that were staring at me from the display counter. Luckily, the "Stollen" bread with fruits and nuts had just been made and he offered me a slice that I finished with my coffee! I could have had the whole of it. This is a place I will keep on going to regularly. A truly wonderful experience and Vibhor keep up your high standards. I could see the passion in your heart for the space that you have created for the residents of Calgary.

Went for their YYC Hot chocolate entry, which was a delicious rich nutty hot chocolate. We also had some of their delicious sweets. The person assisting us (I'm guessing the owner) was lovely and helpful!

~Chocolate Lovers Delight~Love Sugar & Dough has been on my list for a few years now with many of my favorite items. I recently stopped in, and not knowing what to get; was recommended to try a new item: A "Cruffin" filled with a chocolate ganache...Absolute perfection. The chocolate ganache was flawlessly balanced while the pastry had a beautiful flake: just right.This was such a hit, I had to grab my camera and run back for a photo (whoops.. I accidentally inhaled the first haha). Hopefully I can inspire you to stop in (frequently) and support this (A+) local small business .

I got a surprise bag from too good to go app and when I arrived they were super kind, offered me extra cookies and I took them but when I went to try one it was harder than a rock, it was like eating flour in my mouth it was so dry I feel like they were just trying to pawn off garbage on me. Waited till I got home to open my surprise bag and we'll I sure was surprised to find 3 items, a pack of stale hard cookies, stale hard bread, and MOLDY slice of chocolate cake I am so upset and dissatisfied. Threw it all out, waste of money!Too bad as they seemed like nice people.

The baker at Love Sugar and Dough is exceptional. He takes pride in his work and goes beyond the service that one would ever expect. We had a birthday cake made from him and the week before he had us come in to sample the lemongrass and coconut infused butter cream icing he was thinking of doing on the cake ( umm Yes please !). The cake turned out delicious and was a work of art. Thank you for making the birthday celebration so special - everyone loved the cake !
Over the past year we have made several purchases and ordered birthday and retirement cakes for friends and family and other items.Vibhor, his wife and Dad have been especially kind and helpful to make items gluten free for our family and offering suggestions so that my wife can also enjoy the treats.All our friends and family (grand kids too) have enjoyed the desserts and noted they could not tell they were gluten free. Our family ordered a cake for our mom's birthday (detailed review coming) and as I am gluten free I couldn't have any but I did experience the level of service, the absolutely gorgeousness of the cake, and sampled the delicious icing.The owner did gift me some gluten free slider buns which were outstanding!We want everyone to support the fabulous bakery!
