I’ve been a very long time fan of this place and make a point to go every time I’m back in town visiting as I consider it to be a Calgary staple. Coffee is consistent and food is decent. Been a long time gem and hope they can keep it up!
Café Beano has been around forever, and it’s easy to see why. The coffee is always good, there’s usually a mix of people working, chatting, or just hanging out, and it’s got a bit of a creative vibe. It’s the kind of place you can stop by for a quick caffeine fix or settle in for an afternoon.
I really enjoy this coffee shop for its drinks — the ginger hot chocolate is a standout, and the cookies are always delicious. It’s a great spot to hang out, with a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while.
That said, the staff can come off a bit unfriendly at times, which takes away from the overall experience. Still, the quality of the drinks and the vibe keep me coming back.
