I ordered a bowl of beef noodles. When it was served, it didn’t look authentic, like braised noodles. But it is surprisingly delicious, just like the noodles made by my mother at home. Ordered a bowl of noodles, I don't think it's looks like authentic. But it's surprisingly delicious, like my mom's noodles she made at home.

Calan beef is Calgary Local owned! Let's support them!They have a small place, however it's really nice and cozy.The hand pulled noodles is so fresh! I like how they serve it is a glass bowl. Don't get fooled with the size because they give you lots of noodles. Because of which, there is not much soup. You can ask for extra broth. Which they will give you. And it's actually just right. The other place with similar concept do have a big bowl, in my humble opinion it's the same amount. Though I have to say their beef is sliced a little thicker. The staff are really nice.So when you go there, you order what you want, then you go and get it. Then you get your chopsticks and napkins as well as water.I would prefer this locally owned restaurant! I just love it here!

We had some delicious beef noodles for lunch at Calan Beef Noodle. We ordered Combo A that comes with beef shanks/ seasonal appetizer and tea flavour boiled egg. We chose the thick noodles to go with the (1) Hand Pulled Noodle in Beef Soup and some flat & wide noodles to go with the (2) Hand Pulled Noodle with Pickled Sour Mustard in Beef Soup. The noodles tasted delicious and very appetizing! It was fun to see the chef making the hand pulled noodles right in front of us. This way we know the noodles are made fresh right before our eyes!
