I’ve been ordering pizza from this place for a short while. I love their Margherita. But today, I ordered pasta for the first time. Simple: Spaghetti with meat sauce. And I think this was the best spaghetti that I’ve had in a while. Thank you for the amazing food, folks!

I used to love this place so much that I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone I knew. I would always say it was “the closest thing you can get to New York–style pizza in Calgary.”

But things have changed drastically.

What used to be a reliable, delicious, and even visually appealing pizza has turned into something unrecognizable. The crust is overworked and chewy in all the wrong ways, the toppings sit in a layer of grease, and the flavour that used to set them apart is just… gone. The pasta has become bland and lifeless, and the meatballs (which were once a standout) now taste unmistakably store-bought.

It’s genuinely frustrating to watch a place that used to take so much pride in its food decline this sharply. I’m not trying to be dramatic, but the quality drop is impossible to ignore, and it deserves to be acknowledged. I’m incredibly disappointed to see one of my favourite spots fall this far.

Recently tried this pizza spot for the first time and the pizza was great! Met the owner and his son, and the son had great customer service and even threw in a few extras for free! I will be back!

Carmine’s in an excellent Pizzeria! The staff are very friendly, and they have a great variety of pizzas to try. They serve slices during school hours and the full pizzas do not take that long if you order ahead (our order only took 25 minutes).

We ordered several large pizzas for a family get together and they were a hit with everyone! The pizzas were hot and fresh, the sauce was delicious, and the dough was perfect. While the pizzas are were a bit on the pricy side, they were well worth it. All my family also agreed that the pizza is even better after the new owners took over.

Well worth the stop!

Family owned businesses, both staff were super kind and happy, everyone loved the pizza and the prices aren’t ridiculous, they have good deals as well for their combo special. I highly recommend coming here, you can just tell there’s a lot of love that’s gone into the place and that goes into food as well!!

Loved the sauce and beautiful crust! Service from who I assumed were the owners was also great! The wait wasn’t long but order whole pizzas ahead if you’re in a hurry. They only do slices during specific school hours.

The salad and pizza here are really good. The place is under new management and the new owners are very friendly. They have improved the sauce recipes which were already very good.

Have ordered a handful of times here now and I have to say every single time the pizza has been so good. This time we ordered the 18 inch OG and bees pizza. its difficult to find good pizza in our part of calgary so I will make the drive to carmines just to get their yummy pizza. I would 100% recommend
