Food was good but after ordering just two plates of basic pasta, the meal did not arrive at the table until 1.5 hours after our reservation. Waited at the front for 30minutes before anyone even greeted us or said it would just be a few minutes. Server didn't even say thank you after we paid/tipped, just grabbed the machine and left. I get your busy but that's literally your job as servers and resturaunt managment to care for the customers?
Restaurant was very busy due to Valentine's Day and it's understandable that food would take longer than usual but 3 hours for dinner?? We had a couple of old fashions in sticky glasses, dirty side plates (which we sent back), bread with no butter, oil or balsamic vinegar. We were ready to leave because the entrees took so long and when they arrived, we sent back the pasta as it was cold. No Parmesan cheese was offered. Granted the manager was kind enough to comp the pasta because my daughter could not stay to enjoy the enteees. Overall, poor experience
We are longstanding customers of Centini. Last evening, February 14, we booked a reservation for 8pm. It was clear from the start that Centini was way over capacity and understaffed. Our first course took some time, it appears that our second course either got lost in the system, or was never ordered to the kitchen. At 10pm when the kitchen closed, NO MAIN COURSE!!! Though some of the waiting staff were apologetic, by 10:15 there was nothing with the kitchen wrapping up for the evening. As it was Valentines Day, my wife and I had a terrible evening, and left the restaurant at 10:15. This is unfortunate, as Centini for years has had consistent great service and food. It was clear the chef/owner sacrificed this for high cover numbers, and fast pasta dishes over orders from traditional long standing customers. How do I know? Many of these walk-ins ordered and were served right in front of us, while we waited for our main course of a Veal Chop and Sea Bass. NEEDLESS TO SAY, OUR EVENING WAS RUINED!!! My wife and I went home to a sandwich. For this to happen, it is clear management has dropped the ball. This goes from the service staff, right through to the kitchen. This was far from a memorable evening!!! I could write a list of many lower cost basic Italian restaurants in Calgary where this would never happen. The trade off is ordinary food, for service!!!!
Took the Boss aka wife to Centini for Valentines. Havent been back for over 15 years. Food is still excellent. Service was a big disappointment. Value was okay.
Always enjoy Centini - Gnochi, Stuffed chicken, spicy prawn appetizer with the grande finale of their famous Lemon Tart - sooo delicious! Great service
Main course was very slow. Appetizers were good but pasta dishes were disappointing. The restaurant wasn't too loud which was very nice. Server was nice.
Excellent experience as usual. Such attentive staff from the moment we entered until we left.
Had dinner with a very large group here, always walk by this place, but first time trying it. The service was exceptional, the staff were all very gracious and accommodating. Food was great and portion sizes were pretty large, they definitely feel more like traditional dining vs the new restaurants popping up and around.
Would recommend for events.

Stopped in for an impromptu dinner last night. Very reasonably priced cocktails Scallops for starters, my wife had the duck and I had the veal tortellini. The food was amazing….. 5 out of 5 and also very reasonably priced, $35 ish per entree
However the wine list was disappointing. Large selection but very little under $100. Red wine by the glass had 3 options, $17 -$20 for 5oz glass and the one I chose was not great. Our server Chis was excellent
We walked in after a performance at the nearby Jack Singer Hall, without a reservation. We were warmly greeted by Joe and sat at the bar to enjoy exemplary service from Chris. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We had the crisp Caesar salad, followed by the incredible fresh hand made to order tagliatelle with mushrooms and truffle oil. Third course the perfectly prepared veal scallopini limone. We are excited to return again to experience the other enticing items on the menu. Five Stars !

The service was excellent and they were very conscious of our time frame. Great food and we were seated in a quiet room.
The food was excellent. I asked specifically for the main dining room. This was ignored and we were seated, again, in the corridor that is a traffic thoroughfare. The couch seats are far too low. We will not sit there again. The service was friendly and reasonably attentive. We told our server when we sat down that we had a theater engagement in 75 minutes. The main course took a very long time and its late arrival ensured we would not have time for dessert or a coffee. The wine pour was stingy. A 5 oz. glass of chianti sets an unfortunate optic. 6 oz. or 9 oz. pours please the eye and the palate. If the bottom line is the reason for scaling back to 5 ounce glasses of wine - and of course it is - please just charge accordingly. We've been coming for nearly thirty years and will continue to do so. Please bring the service back to the level of Gustavo and Raoul. (I should mention that the gentleman who checked our coats represents the front of the house extremely well).
Awesome service. Very flavorful food! Amazing GF options including pasta and breads!!will be back.
