The food was decent, but expensive for what it was. 60 something dollars for a steak and 3 potato’s is a bit much

Very nice decor and ambiance, unfortunately extremely rude service.
Food is okay but nothing to justify the price, plus our waitress told us we couldn’t request our meat to be cooked to our likings (medium rare) - surprising answer for a grill restaurant. All meats will be cooked “done”
Avoid if you have allergies, when inquiring about potential allergens, her answer was “read the ingredients on the menu”

Really enjoyed my visit to Charbar. The restaurant itself is unique in its location. The food was great, really enjoyed their burger and Argentinian empanadas. For a drink their fig lemonade mocktail is very refreshing!

A fabulous menu, not only on paper, but something really special is delivered to the table. I really can't remember eating food like this, it's so good. Great service. I might've marked the value slot low, it was a pricey dinner, but on the other hand, it was out of this world. Recipes like nowhere else.

I had booked two corporate dinners back to back at charbar and the AGM, Jessica, as well as the entire culinary team at charbar went above and beyond. We had a guest attend who had particular dietary restrictions which required careful coordination and planning in advance. Jessica worked with me from the beginning to ensure the reservation was booked and that the entire time, including front of house staff and the kitchen were familiar with this dietary restriction (kosher) and how to handle it accordingly. My team kept saying how excellent the dinner was and how happy they were with the service and care provided. I would highly recommend booking your corporate dinner at charbar as the quality of customer service and care they provided for our guests was exceptional. Thank you charbar!

This has become a special spot, in the 10+ years of having lived in Calgary, I had not visited Charbar until recently and wow, I can honestly say it’s a treat, the half chicken and the grilled octopus are fantastic, but I fell in love with the table side ceviche!

I wanted to reach out and express our sincere thanks for such an exceptional experience with your venue. In particular, Melissa was an absolute joy to work with. She thought of every detail, was there for every mic and music change, was flexible, and was so pleasant to work with despite the day-of pressures and last minute changes & additions. The entire team was great to work with, and the venue itself was superior. Honestly, the experience left me feeling that we were in such capable hands.

Having booked many events, I can confidently say that I have rarely encountered service at the exceptional standard that Melissa provided. It will be an absolute honor to host future events with you.

Our experience last night at Charbar was excellent. Warm, professional service, superb menu choices and lovely ambience. Highly recommend for a couples' night out or for a bigger party. Char at has it all.

Honestly for the hype and price, I was super underwhelmed and disappointed. Didn’t find the service or food particularly that great. Won’t be going back.

Busy but fun environment ! Food was consistent despite being busy. Service was pretty good too. Disappointed the pre flames game menu wasn't an option. Apparently it ends at 6..... our reservation was 545.... And we were told the flames menu was no longer available. Really cool space with good food.

Amazing food! One of the best staeks in town that I have tried, our server was super helpful friendly and on top of her job. Great atmosphere

Popped in for a night cap and the bartender, Chase, took amazing care of us! Recommended exactly the right cocktails for us and could mix anything. Menu is so creative as well. Highly recommend! Photo is of the drink already half gone :)

Awesome atmosphere and very friendly staff. Food is excellent and a unique twist on seafood & steak. I entertain clients constantly across the US & Canada and can definitively say this is a top 10 restaurant. Strongly recommend. Also, Chase is a fantastic bartender who takes the craft and service seriously! 10/10

I’d give 10 stars if that’s an option. Celebrated my mom’s birthday here, didn’t expect too much but arrived finding out there’s a cute balloon attached to our seat. Every single one of the staff here was amazing, they greeted us with smile and wished happy birthday to my mom. Our server was super attentive, absolutely exceptional!!

Food matched my expectations, I’ve heard great things about here, and they were worth the praises! Beef fat fries were sooo crispy and it’s very obvious to that they were actually made with beef fat. Ceviche was great, loved the puffed wild rice in there, they added some crunchy texture to it and leveled it up. And the porterhouse was just beyond description, so delicious and tender, pairs well with Argentina Malbec.
