Undeserving of a 3.9 google score. Pizza is very good!

I ordered at Connie & John ‘s on 10/18 for a
Birthday treat! I asked for a half Fun Guy, half Island Pie. The girl said they couldnt make that pizza combo because the fun guy had no cheese (not true) and the islands pie had cheese. The pizza chef came around and said it might not work cause Fun Guy has white sauce and Island Pie has tomato sauce but he would give it a try, and was told it would cost a bit extra. I understood that, was appreciative and tipped them!

When the pizza was ready I brought it home, and it was a half island pie, half cheese pizza. They didn’t even try apparently to do the fun guy half. The pizza was still delicious, but not satisfying or what I expected for a $42 pizza (surcharge price plus tip) i was extremely disappointed with the poor service experience.

The pizza here was some of the best out there, the pepperoni pie was world class. But something has changed recently. The pepperoni quality is shameful. Pies are now greasy and soggy. The dough was something to be savoured but its lost its flavour. I hope C&J’s takes reviews seriously, its disappointing to see the drop-off in quality from two of Calgarys top chefs.

The top of the garlic toast was burnt. Their olives were disgusting. Absolutely would not order from here again.

Food was amazing! View from the rooftop patio was great! Would highly recommend if you are looking for something different, for ambience. Menu is limited, so make sure you love pizza. The Caesar Salad, although pricey for the amount in the dish, is very good.

We went there as part of our anniversary weekend and it was beyond our expectations. The service was friendly and attentive, the food was delicious as we got the Detroit style pepperoni pizza, and the rooftop experience was awesome.

We loved our dinner at this unique Calgary venue! It was my partner and my first time to Connie and Johns and we were so impressed. This patio is tucked close to the bow river which made for beautiful views. The menu was simple and done well. Fresh and quality ingredients made the pizza reminiscent of Italy. I wish I discovered this place earlier in the summer to squeeze in a few more visits. We will be back!

The worst! A few weeks ago, we made a reservation, drove the 45 minutes there, paid for parking, went inside, and they said the roof top was closed for a private function. We brush it off.

Today, we made another reservation, drove down there, and they tell us the roof top is closed but we can take takeout. They said they tried to call us, but I have a hard time believing that being my phone never went off once.

We won’t be making a 3rd attempt. Between the 45 minute drive each way, and the parking we have paid for to not use, it just doesn’t warrant another attempt.

My husband and I stopped in before a festival, we are from sylvan lake. Jax and Jordan were our first bartenders they were amazing so personable and created great drinks!! The pizza is awesome! Rachel however was also one of our bartenders and she was top notch went over and above, I stayed and spent more money only because of her! Such a great experience, if you have the chance it’s a great view of the river and great service!

Service and views were great. Pretty expensive for a single pie and two beers though. I got the Detriot style pizza, which was served on a plastic lunch tray. I was also charged $6 for an additional topping, which is pretty steep... So overall, it was above average until the bill hit.

Patio is beautiful! New York style pizzas are delicious and big enough for 3-4 people. Cabbage salad is a sharing size. Our server was friendly and attentive, quick to offer refills on drinks!

We had the New York Style Pizza, it was delicious, but the center was a tad soggy. Service and environment are great, awesome place for a summer date night. We will be back to try the other style of pizza.

We had a wonderful time on the rooftop, the heat lamps made the evening comfortable. The food was fantastic, ordered a New York pizza, mussels, scalloped and the tuna. Servers were really accommodating and friendly. View was beautiful as well. Definitely recommend to anyone and would go again with a group of friends.
