We came for lunch right when they opened. This is usually our favorite place, so it was disappointing this time. The food was good overall, but the refried beans were not actually refried — they were whole pinto beans in sauce. When we told the lady we wanted refried beans not pinto beans in sauce we were told that’s that is refried beans, which was surprising. Their maple sweet pork enchiladas was tasty and really hit the spot for lunch.

Horchata tasted like I was drinking a churro - works well if you have a sweet tooth and enjoy cinnamon/vanilla!

Costa Vida has my most favourite taco meal ever!!! Amazing house made tortillas! Staff is always super nice.

As someone who has frequently visited both the Royal Oak and Macleod Trail locations, I would definitely say that Royal Oak has higher food quality and they are a bit more generous with portions. Even though I moved to the south, I do go out of my way to the Royal Oak store sometimes for these reasons.
