Great place for a concert venue! I've been a couple of times. Staff are friendly. No water bottles when you come for a show. If you bring one you will need to leave it at the door. There is water inside from large jugs with many cups available. If you're coming from a show I recommend getting there early because the lineup was around the building yesterday and took about an hour to get inside.

Visited Dicken’s pub for the first time because of a super dope street dance event hosted by Next of Kin breaking crew. The event was called Rep Ur Kin. There were street dance battles, exhibitions, showcases, cyphers, and live deejays. This venue is perfect for events like this as it created a more intimate atmosphere for the battles and pockets of cyphers while at the same time not feeling so overcrowded. I didn’t get food or drinks but I was told by my friends who got food/drinks, that they all enjoyed what they got. Dickens should host more events like this! Will definitely keep an eye out for the next one.

Awesome place. Was excited to see a venue in Calgary. It was very inclusive, I felt safe. Staff were all helpful and lovely. You get a stamp for re entry which is awesome. Food was good Ole pub fair. Sound was great and seating for the show was ample. Would be happy to return again some day whenever in Calgary again.

I was at Dickens for Terminus Festival for the first time, but definitely not my last. I am just up the road in Edmonton, but I had no idea! Glad I know now. Ambor and staff were all amazing, Cheyenne (if my memory is correct) at the door was super pleasant all 4 nights. Wayne and Cody on security were solid guys, very friendly and helpful. Major shout-out to Adrian with security. This guy was incredible. Night 3 of the fest, I was at the rail (as I was all 4 nights; love this place for how easy it is!), and left for merch. Adrian helped me navigate the crowd to get back to my spot. Night 4 was the same. I was stuck at the back of the crowd when Adrian came up to say hi. I asked him for help and he cleared the waters for me, getting me an even better vantage point than I started with. Amazing guy and I hope he is there next year!

Amazing space. Great prices, great people, great shows, great atmosphere, new sound system too. And good pool tables!
I moved here a year ago and this place became my favorite venue for dance nights and metal shows. This is one of my favorite things about Calgary.
Although i do have a suggestion: it would be great if the show posters list the show time as well as the doors time. So, my rating is 4.9 stars. Still love the place ❤ - edit on this: I have been told that the doors and show times on the posters are under the promoter's control, not the venue's, so back to 5 stars for Dickens.
I love Dickens. It is such an open and welcoming place to let loose with friends. Their entire team does a wonderful job and works very hard! Thank you for all the amazing memories. I will start coming more!
