Went to a show at Dickens my first time at the pub. I wish I could give it full stars because there were so many good things. First I'd like to say the establishment it's self was fairly easy to find which is good because I'm not a city driver, lots of parking, clear signs Unfortunately we had to wait an hour and a half standing in a hallway (a lot of people waited longer) to get inside the the venue while bands were doing sound check. Which, okay with the main band I can understand if things were running late they didn't want people in the pub yet, but while the openers were setting up they very well could have let people in to eat and have a beverage. With being out of town guests and not knowing the city we didn't want to wander too far to find another place for food. Patrons were met with attitude for arriving early for a show. I would like to think this is a one off but other patrons said this is a pretty normal thing for this pub. Just seems like a missed opportunity to have the doors shut for 3 hours before a show, where at other places we have been encouraged to come in and grab a bite/drink during openers sound check. Unfortunately this gave us enough reason to likely not return to this establishment. When we finally got in we found a table easily, were served very quickly, food was decent and quick. Drink menu was good. Bathroom was Very clean. Acoustics in the bar seemed great and loved that they have cameras pointing at the stage that you can see on screens.

Good pub for a night out. Great shows and good service. Very warm and humid during events though, dress accordingly.
Haven't been in a while. Used to have very good lunch deals and food items had a good home-cooked type of vibe. Atmosphere for a weekday lunch might not be quite what most people are looking for and could be described as a sort of "charming dive bar". The atmosphere makes more sense when you go for one of the frequent and varied live music shows they get. Almost always a good crowd and good time.

Vegetarian options: For those that don't eat meat, they have plenty of options such as the French fries (their most popular) in any flavor you'd like with any sauce you like. The tater tots and pizza with any toppings you want, as well as gluten free crust and dairy free cheese.
Dietary restrictions: They have options for those who eat gluten free and they have dairy free cheese.
Parking: Parking after 6pm is $6.50 and is good until 6am next day. Or there is free street parking after 6pm. Free street parking all day Sundays.
Kid-friendliness: No one under 18 allowed.
Wheelchair accessibility: They do have an elevator for those who need wheelchair access. You just need to call the phone number and a staff member will come and give you access.
