Great place for a concert venue! I've been a couple of times. Staff are friendly. No water bottles when you come for a show. If you bring one you will need to leave it at the door. There is water inside from large jugs with many cups available. If you're coming from a show I recommend getting there early because the lineup was around the building yesterday and took about an hour to get inside.
Visited Dicken’s pub for the first time because of a super dope street dance event hosted by Next of Kin breaking crew. The event was called Rep Ur Kin. There were street dance battles, exhibitions, showcases, cyphers, and live deejays. This venue is perfect for events like this as it created a more intimate atmosphere for the battles and pockets of cyphers while at the same time not feeling so overcrowded. Awesome place. Was excited to see a venue in Calgary. It was very inclusive, I felt safe. Staff were all helpful and lovely. You get a stamp for re entry which is awesome. Food was good Ole pub fair. Sound was great and seating for the show was ample. Would be happy to return again some day whenever in Calgary again.
