Ernie's Mobile Whole Hog Barbecue and Catering

I am writing a review as I am greatly disappointed with the professionalism of this company. Due to COVID we postponed Ernie's wedding catering services and, in an email, back in 2021, Ernie agreed to honor our deposit with no time limit indicated. I have been unable to find a time limit in our contract after putting a deposit down. I recently reached out to Ernie to book his catering services in hopes of an anniversary celebration as we ended up having a tiny safe distance wedding with a few people outdoors during COVID. Ernie informed me their services are fully booked for this year. I attempted to book for 2025 but was declined because they were fully booked for corporation bookings. I attempted to book for 2026 and was refused by Ernie as he stated they no longer providing wedding catering and proceeded to inform me they are removing wedding services from their website. I have attempted to come to some form of resolution but have encountered either silence or aggressive emails from Ernie. I requested our deposit back but was refused claiming we canceled his services, and his deposit is nonrefundable. I have in an email his agreement in honoring our deposit with no indication of time limit and a request to postpone his services not cancel. As it stands, I have been refused services and my deposit kept. I feel that I have been respectful in my communication with Ernie and feel no reason to be refused services. In being refused services, then I feel I am in every right to request my deposit back or further communication on how to resolve this situation without being ghosted by a professional company.

Looks like Ernie is using social media to spread anti Catholic hate. Not a smart business decision Ernie

We have ordered a whole bbq pig 2 years in a row for our summer birthday parties. It is wonderful value, and perfectly cooked. We opt for the pick up option and serve it ourselves. Would highly recommend Ernie!!

Cannot gush enough about Ernie’s. We had a wedding out in Rocky View County and they showed up on time and got ready before schedule which was awesome. Everyone was raving about the food after especially the pork and the sauces. Very polite and pleasant staff. Would highly recommend.

Ernie and his wife are the nicest people you will ever meet. I am in a time of trouble and, they came through for us like no one has ever done. They gave us a nice big turkey and many more items out of the goodness of their hearts. They are generous and kind. They saved our Christmas this year. Also, my boss used their services for a company BBQ he had this past summer and, I can tell you the food was delicious! I would recommend them for any event you might have.-Marie

We hired Ernie’s mobile BBQ for our wedding reception this past Saturday, and the food was incredible.We are so glad we chose them, and so were our guests!We chose the whole hog roast, scalloped potatoes (best I’ve ever had) Caesar salad, coleslaw, buns and baked beans. Everyone kept talking about the sauces! They are SO good. I put all 5 on my meal lolDefinitely a crowd pleaser and worth every penny.Thank you Ernie!

We ordered a whole BBQ hog with a bunch of sides for an event at our retirement community and could not have been happier with the results. I have been a chef for nearly 15 years and I have to say that was some of the best BBQ I've ever had. Thanks Ernie!

Ernie and his crew are nothing short of amazing. We had originally planned to have our wedding three years ago (thanks Covid) throughout those three years Ernie was so accommodating with our date changes. He also had us come for a beautiful sit down evening so we could try out what we had ordered for our wedding. This weekend we finally had our wedding. The girls who came to help out were so polite and helpful. EVERYONE commented on how delicious everything tasted and were so impressed. I would definitely recommend Ernie and his crew for any of your events. Thank you again and hopefully we will see you guys again soon.

Ordered Ernie’s for an evening event… Ernie was super friendly and pleasant to talk to.The food was absolutely delicious! Tender, juicy, salads were amazing.He forgot plates and cutlery but went to a store to buy some.Highly recommend Ernie and his food. Absolutely terrific!

Had Ernie's BBQ for my Wedding. Best decision ever. Strongly recommend for any kind of occasion. For the whole night I kept being complimented on the delicious food that was picked out for the wedding. 5 stars, only because Google wouldn't let me give him more stars.

I hired Ernie for my wedding and boy did he deliver. It was on time, hot, and most important it was the best food I had ever had at a wedding. We got so many compliments on the food from all of our guests. Even my 6-year-old niece who fights and cries every dinner time no matter what she is being served loved the food and went back for thirds. I would hire him again in an instant.

Ernie’s catered my daughter’s wedding and it was top notch in every respect. All our guests were very impressed with the quality of the food served. Would highly recommend them !
