Famoso Italian Pizzeria - Chinook

I have been a Famoso fan for a few years now. I never had any issues with any other places like 4th street, or even in Vancouver. This store at Chinook is my only problem. You seriously have to look at the quality of the pizzas you do for delivery. Tasteless and disgusting. I already had the same experience before once and wanted to give it another try to see if it was just a one time instance and nope, its still the same! This was not even any buy one and get one free deals but still you would expect it to be good. Not even edible, so disappointed. To the owner of the place, try ordering your own pizza during the last hour.

Love their pizza! I ordered the wrong pizza online and they went out of their way to fix it for me . Pizza is perfect everytime!

We were very disappointed to have our Friday family night out to be a rather disgusting experience. When we first walked in the floor was sticky all the way to the table. Sadly, the washroom experience was not very pleasant either as the stall door stuck to the point I almost had to text my family for assistance and there was no paper towel to dry my hands after washing them. Now for the best part... We were facing the kitchen from our table and got to watch a male cook pick his nose then wipe it on his face and then scratch his hair on his head directly above the food he was preparing. The other people in the kitchen were just standing around, chatting and laughing. The kitchen staff and the female server all saw this person do this and didn't seem phased by this gross and disgusting behavior. Needless to say my family was not impressed as we didn't order snot or hair as garnish on our food. We spoke to our server who was one of the people who watched this and she was extremely uncomfortable and didn't know how to handle our issue with the kitchen so we spoke to the manager who was more than apologetic. We cancelled our meal and he didn't make us pay for our drinks which was appreciated. We won't be returning for obvious reasons. When we walked out the manager was talking to the nose picker in the kitchen so hopefully no one else has to experience this. Would give a zero star, but there isn't an option for this.

Great joint in the perfect spot for us!

It’s not a real Famoso. It’s a Ricky’s with a famoso in it. Good food and service but if you’re looking for the atmosphere Famoso usually has this isn’t it.

I have had Famoso a few times and always found it to be solid. I ordered delivery tonight and sadly the pizza was … inedible. It tasted both “off” and flavourless at the same time somehow. The crust was ok but the sauce wasn’t right with no flavour and the cheese was just slimy. There was no seasoning at all hence the blandness leaving only the unpleasant taste. Unfortunate as 2 pizzas are now going straight in the trash.

Service isn’t great

This pizza is so fantastic, the crust, the flavors, it's gotta be one of the best pizza chains out there for sure. Very friendly staff at this location, super helpful.

Had an amazing Valentine’s Day at Famoso! The cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food made the evening perfect. The pizza was incredible—crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. Huge shoutout to pizzaiola Snizhana for her amazing skills! You can tell she puts real passion into her craft.

Highly recommend this place for a great Italian experience!

Ordered a pizza for takeout today. I dont order takeout often but it was very tasty. The pizza had a nice thin crust with a good balance of flavors. Thankfully the kitchen accommodated half Hawaiian half peperoni which I apreciated.

Before we were ordering pizza, I saw some pics from lowest rating review with burnt pizza, and I assumed they may have changed their quality of pizza. We picked up Margherita pizza from the store and they turned out the same look pizza as pictures from other people! Too burnt so not edible!! Hope this store improves
something on their pizza not too burnt.

My wife and I stopped in on September 13th for a quick meal. Unfortunately, a person dashed out without paying for 3 drinks just after we sat down. The very nice owner said it happens a lot and obviously harms their small business. I hope we can all support great places like this to ensure they are successful. The staff were wonderful, and the food was great too!
