Got takeout from 5 Spice this week, and unfortunately the food was lacking in flavour and taste. The ingredients used leave something to be desired (lack of vegetables, not aromatic or flavourful as expected, everything seemed too plain).
The staff / owner (older gentleman) was friendly and I appreciate the service, but we weren’t impressed with the food quality. Hope it improves!

My wife and I stopped in for a bite one hour before close. Immediately the service was poor. No greeting, despite being a very small space. We ordered a couple of Pho and asked for water, only to have the owner point at a cooler filled with beverages (including bottled water). I explained that I just wanted a glass of water. He said ok. The Pho was nothing to write home about, but what is worthy of noting is the portion size. Very very small bowl for what one would pay for a large bowl elsewhere. In addition, the amount of protein was obviously controlled in each bowl. Never did receive water. Awful service. While we were in the tiny dining room we heard the phone ring at least twice and it went unanswered. Later a man came in to place an order and he explained to the owner that he had called and nobody answered. The owner went on to tell the customer that Rogers is to blame, in that they have had problems all week with the phone lines. Avoid this place. Much tastier places not far from this location.

Was really impressed with this place. Great food. Great service. And cute ambiance. We had the wor wanton and the vermicelli bowl. Will def go back next time we are in Calgary.

Grabbed two subs to go at lunch and it was over $28. The subs were on par with other spots, but it worth the price premium. It is double the price of mamy competitors.

I stopped by for a late night snack and the person there was super nice . We ordered some dumplings and spring rolls that were delicious! We also saw the per made soups that are frozen ready to go and I am excited to try them :) I definitely going back to try more !

Sate soup was ok, lemongrass chicken on vermicelli was terrible. Chicken looked old and dry and tasteless . Dumplings that someone else raved about were not that great
Small servings but food tasted good and service was quick. What is sad though is that when we requested for a glass of water, we were denied, and we were paying customers! You need to pay for their selection of sodas which didn't include bottled water.

This little mom and pop shop Viet restaurant really hit the spot yesterday. Walked around the neighborhood and stumbled upon this store. I ordered their House Viet sub, Homemade dumplings and mango bubble tea. This sandwich was one of the few I’ve had in the city that was GREAT! The homemade dumplings were also delicious, my bubble tea came overflowing out of the cup.
