Noodles were not cooked at all (see pictures below). The chicken balls had pieces of hard chicken fat that you couldnt even chew, terrible. The beef in broccoli wasn't good at all, the broccoli wasnt even cooked, couldnt even really bite through it like usual beef and broccoli. That wasn't the worst thing of all... the man that we called that works there, I believe he owns the store, was extremely rude when we called and started yelling at me when I ask for a credit for the food that was bad first. Then, when he yelled at me more, I asked for a refund, I was done with this place now. He said he was busy and continued to talk to me rudely. He was extremely rude and he kept saying, it is what it is. So we went in, the woman that works there was very nice, but we had to fight to get our money back. We showed him the food and he just kept saying it is what it is. It was very clearly not cooked. I don't recommend this place at all. It's under new management, and he doesn't care about customer service, clearly. There was no excuse for any of this. So whatever he types below me is him trying to save his reputation when he was so mean. There was no need for that I was so nice 😞

i’ve been ordering from here for 14 years if not more food has always been nothing less than amazing but now recently ordering food i noticed the quality had gone down so much ever since new management I don’t see myself ordering from here again in the future

We have been regular customers here since moving to FalconRidge in 2000 and have always liked the food. Now under new management and the food is even better. Everything battered was nice and crispy, and even the dumplings are cooked better, not doughy like before. Meat is all very flavourful and even the vegetables seam cleaner and firmer. The place has really been cleaned up and repainted so it’s nice and bright, and actually inviting. Well done!

Golden hill is now open again! And with the new management came a great revised menu and amazing food to go with it, im really glad that it remained the price as it did and food quality has gone up tremendously. The hospitality while I waited was amazing as I was greeted with a very kind cashier and dry boneless ribs to wait for my meal which was also portioned very well for its price.

Not impressed food definitely has changed smaller portions for the same price ordered Sweet and Sour pork usually comes with vegetables got no vegetables. Ordered lemon chicken, which is supposed to be mixed with sauce sauce came on the side. The quality of food has gone Since the new owners took over. I have been ordering from here for over 10 years and now they have officially lost my business

I have ordered multiple times from this restaurant through Doordash and I have been so impressed with the food everytime! 🩷 The food is always fresh at the perfect temperature and the portions are generous! I made some requests on my orders and they are ALWAYS paid attention to which i appreciate alot. The food is s0 delicious- really it is! The dinner for one is amazing! The best sweet & sour chicken balls ive ever had because its not all batter theres big pieces of chicken. Im just about to order right now! 😅🤤😋💛💜🩵💥

LOVE this place. This is by far my families favourite Chinese food in the city. We drive 30 minutes to pick-up from here since we moved from Falconridge. We have been loyal customers for 10 years now. There is no dining in, so know before you go. The staff are hard working, friendly, and super accommodating. The food is always delicious, fresh, hot, and consistent. Ignore the bad reviews and try it!

I don't know about the history, but I can tell you the food was fresh and hot and well flavoured. I thought they deserved a more recent review. Don't pay any attention to those past haters!

The portion sizes were excellent for the pricing. Prices are very competitive compared to other places in the city.

This is the first time I have ever had salt and pepper squid that wasn't rubbery. The ginger beef was perfectly spiced and not drowning in sugar. Dumplings and chicken balls exactly as you'd expect. Beef and broc really tasty. All our food was ready for pickup and actually made fresh within a reasonable time frame.
The whole family commented how much they liked the food from this place. Great take out experience.

Ginger beef was more bone than beef
Egg foo yung sloppy and greasy
Szeuan chicken dried out like was left over from yesterday
Chicken fried rice was bland and tasteless
Chicken balls were baseball size and pretty much the only thing barely edible

Gave this place a chance as it was nearby but i would drive clear across the city to avoid eating here. 80 dollars in food and 98% hit the garbage.

Now noticing High rating reviews are made up.

Would not recommend or return.

She knows my order very well always the extra sweet and sour sauce for my wings.
