Love their vegetarian food, especially their dal makhni and garlic naan. Service is okaish.Only good thing is their food had remained consistent in taste for more than a year. I always prefer going to guru whenever I feel like eating Indian food so far.I had a very pleasant experience, which made me edit my comment. I ordered 2 veg Manchurians (Medium spicy) and tandoori rotis. For some odd reason their medium spicy wasn’t tasting like medium spicy, and it was so hot that we couldn’t eat for our dinner. As it was a take out for dinner, we called and complained about their spicy food. They exchanged our food the next day. My point is, their service is amazing. Customer is important to them.Highly recommend!!Vegetarian options: I have been going to this restaurant for more than a year and so far their vegetarian food had remain consistent. I love their dal makhani, veg Manchurian, paneer dish, etc

It was my first time ordering from this shop and it is my last time. I waited for my turn to order and the girl behind the counter was really slow. I thought she might be new and kept on waiting. She acknowledged me but then completely ignored me. She kept me waiting and continued taking orders from customers who came after me. After waiting for 20 minutes, I decided to leave. She saw me leaving and still said nothing. Pathetic service and attitude. Self respect is more important than your food.

A Very Strange and Bizarre Policy ?I normally don't post reviews, good or bad, and certainly for places I've never even visited. However, this is the exception. Long story short, I told my daughter to pick any restraunt in Calgary to go eat at on a specific Saturday. She chose this restraunt because she loves Indian food and we don't have alot of those options where we live 2 hours away. This one caught her attention. We were looking forward to this restraunt for more than 2 weeks in advance. Lol. I figured I'd call the day before and book us a table for 3 just to be safe. Because it's a 2 hour drive and all. But oddly, I was told that I couldn't book a table for less than 7 people on a weekend. I repeated that we are specifically driving 2 full hours to eat at THEIR restaurant and we just don't want to get turned away after driving all that way. Once again, was informed that it goes against their policy. To be honest, I'm not even mad at them. I just find it to be extremely strange and bizarre. Most restraunts that recieved a call saying "hi, we are traveling 2 hours to come eat at your restraunt specifically" would be flattered and have no problem accommodating 3 people for a table. Good thing there's more than enough other options to choose from. Very strange times we live in, indeed. ?

I used to like this place. Me and friends were regular customer of Guru India. Recently we have noticed one thing, the mango lassi which they are serving right now, it’s too watery and it feels like you are having mango juice not mango lassi. Lassi is supposed to be somewhat thicker than the juice.Over all experience was really nice. I hope they start serving mango lassi like they used to before.
