I discovered Happy Veggie House thanks to a recommendation from a fellow vegan. We visited on a weekend when it was very quiet in the building but we were quickly greeted by the friendly staff. The menu is so extensive and entirely vegan which is amazing. We ordered the sweet & sour 'pork' and the noodle stir-fry with 'beef'. It was not pre-made but still came out quite quickly with huge portions! It was delicious! Looking forward to trying the lunch special on a weekday visit next time.

I’m not a vegetarian, but I LOVE this place. Nice family run business. The food feels like home cooked meals, very homey. They managed to hands down nail the meat substitutes. I always order the assorted bean curd veggie platter, eggplant and tofu chow mein. The owners are very nice as well. The prices are great. I always order plenty so I can have left overs for lunch the next day.

So glad we found this place. Can not stop ordering from here. We love Chinese food and are vegan /vegetarian. Love the vast menu and flavours. Specially the huge quantity of food. Yet to try alot of the menu items but currently kung pao chiken and veg black bean sauce chow mein are my fav. Thank you to the owners and staff for serving such delicious vegan food options.

Their food was delicious! Shanghai noodles were amazing. I loved it even as a non-vegan! They also went out of their way to assist us when Uber messed up our order. The lady working the phones and counter was lovely. Highly recommend!

Happy Veggie House is an amazing spot for vegan food in Calgary’s Chinatown. The prices are affordable, and the gluten dishes are absolutely to die for!! They're packed with flavor and great texture. There’s plenty of seating since it’s located in a food court, making it easy to stop by for a quick meal.
They’re always busy whenever I walk by, which says a lot about their popularity and consistency. There’s a reason this place has been around for so long — delicious food, fair prices, and a loyal following that keeps coming back.

Had takeaway twice. Had vegan mixed meat noodles and the vegan chicken drumsticks which amazingly tastes like crab claws lol. Everything was awesome... Will return again before going home to 🇬🇧
