Hearts Choices in Calgary Farmers Market West

The selection at the Farmers Market is much less than what is posted on the website. Most of the ready-to-eat dishes are sandwiches or rice bowls. I had the yellow curry bowl with rice which was the best Thai curry I ever had in my life, but it was quite heavy. When I went back I got the “Grains & Greens” bowl which was much lighter but equally delicious. My husband had the Reuben sandwich which was absolutely delicious but also quite heavy. We bought a couple of the frozen soups to go and they are great because you can add your own veggies and make a tasty meal at home! Updated from previous review on 2026-08-03

They have a huge selection of frozen and refrigerated foods here. As well as about 4-5 hot food options. Got the bah mi and the Rueben both were really nice 😊 Updated from previous review on 2026-07-26

We visited Heart's Choices at the Calgary Farmers' Market location while in Calgary for work, and our experience ended up being fantastic.

I will admit that we started off a little disappointed because we arrived expecting to find the full menu, only to discover that all of the items we were hoping to order are available at their main restaurant location rather than at the market location. Since we were staying nearby and the other locations were much farther away, heading across the city wasn't really an option for us.

That said, the gentleman working there was unbelievably kind, accommodating, and helpful.

We ended up ordering the Reuben and the donair, and wow, both were absolutely delicious. Every bite was packed with flavor, and we genuinely loved both meals. What started as disappointment quickly turned into a great experience, and we left incredibly happy with our food.

The service was outstanding, the food was excellent, and we'll absolutely be returning to this specific location the next time we're in Calgary. If you're visiting the Calgary Farmers' Market, I definitely recommend stopping by.

A lovely shop with absolutely delicious food! We decided to stay at the market for lunch after first trying a sample of the Khao Soi soup. We ordered the ginger chick'un wrap and the banh mi - highly recommend!

Great place, welcoming, favourite place to hang out with live music, many options of frozen take out meals and also hot food to eat on the spot. Everyone has a smile in there.
