I had dinner tonight at The Himalayan (17 Ave SW). It was my first time here, and only my second Nepalese restaurant I’ve been to.
The staff were attentive and knowledgeable and very kind. The restaurant is clean, and intimate. Parking isn’t ideal, but that’s not their fault!
I started with the pork momos as an appetizer. They were excellent, but quite expensive ($16 for six regular-sized dumplings). The flavour was great, and they tasted very fresh.

The restaurant has been a favorite for over 10 years, with great food, amazing service, and friendly staff and owners. The dining experience is always amazing, and the restaurant is one of the top go-to places in Calgary. The wait staff is very helpful, extremely friendly, and can provide recommendations on spice levels and dish pairings. The food is awesome and lives up to the hype, with a perfect balance of heat and flavor.
