Humpty's Big Plate Diner - Montgomery

All the waitresses are very friendly and remember our preferences (E.g. how we like our eggs, toast) even though we get breakfast here only about once a month. One of the best value for money breakfast places in NW Calgary.

I ordered the Fish and Chips from this diner, and they came out better than expected. The fish was insanely crispy and the fries were very crispy. I question their use of packet tartar sauce but be that as it may, it doesn't severely hamper the flavor of the dish. We arrived in the afternoon, and the place was very quiet (you could hypothetically hear a pin drop) so do with that I guess. Went to Humptys for lunch..it wasn't great. The food was ok. And presented nicely the salad was nice and fresh. However I wish they would have been more generous with the garlic butter. Also the beef was reheated and not very plentiful. The service was average, kinda got the impression the server was annoyed by her guests being in there. Beautiful interior but the focus should be on the food and service, not the decor. Overall I would not recommend this Humptys restaurant. Save...read full review
