I don’t think I’ve ever been more compelled to write a review but I stumbled on this place by accident when looking for something to eat. The lady running the shop was welcoming and recommended the Rougamo Chinese burger and all I can say is chefs kiss! The bao buns were also some of the best I’ve had. Prices were also reasonable.

Everybody talks about their baos and burgers, but their homemade dumplings seriously deserve some love as well! They come frozen in a bag and I just boil a few at home for a quick meal. I love how the wrapper is on the thicker side which is typical for northern Chinese style dumplings, and the perfectly seasoned filling just oozes with juice!! I simply dress them with some black vinegar and chili oil and it’s ready to eat.The nice lady there also makes sure she teaches you how to cook the dumplings so the wrapper hydrates properly for the best texture. This little shop is the kind of hole-in-the-wall/small business that I love supporting and wish we had more of in Calgary.

Dang!!! This place is better than I ever expected. Simple spot for delicious steam buns. Can’t go wrong. I snagged one of their “burgers” and it was very unique and tasty.This is a spot for take out with sufficient parking. Staff were so friendly and helpful. I will try and come back this spot made impact.
My husband and I tried this place on a whim, and we're so glad we did!It's a tiny hole-in-the-wall place with the kindest woman serving delicious food. I haven't had northern-style baozi in ages; most places serve the sweeter southern style.I had the two bao combo with cabbage salad and tasty egg; my husband had two bao, pork and beef. The bao were so savoury and rich, the dough flavourful and fluffy. The sour salad paired perfectly, and the egg was a nice, umami addition. The very fair price was a plus.We had to grab a bag of pork baozi and pork and chive jiaozi on our way out. We'll absolutely be back again.

I ordered the buns and beef burger and it wasn’t too bad for a takeout spot. The lady working there was super friendly and nice!The buns don’t stick to your teeth, but the filling can seem bland. For me personally, I liked the pork filling as it was a tad sweeter than the beef. There isn’t as much filling in the pork than the beef, but for an affordable price, I can’t complain.For me, the burger was very flavourful and almost too salty. There was a lot of bun and meat, but the crispy bun was missing.I’d go here to support a local business, but would probably try another bun spot.
