A friend brought me here for my birthday dinner. Wow, this was a fabulous little Italian gem of a place. The tables even have table cloths! Service was top notch. The hostess was kind and very attentive. The appetizer Caprese was delicious.The meal was a pleasant surprise as I am not much of a pasta person but decided to try it. It was fantastic. The pasta with scampi was even eye appealing to just look at. I hear it was prepared by an Italian chef that just arrived from Italy. Then the dessert a slice of tiramisu that was heavenly. Not too sweet and just melted in your mouth. It was a a fabulous meal. Would recommend
My family orders takeout from here all the time and we’re never disappointed. Sometimes the portion sizes really change big the taste of the food is delicious. It’s always a pleasure to eat from here

I almost never leave reviews for restaurants but this is one I have to write. This is hands down the best authentic Italian restaurant in Calgary and maybe in Alberta. Out of all the restaurants I tried in the city over the years, none of them ever came close to being as good as this one. I'm talking specifically about their bolognese sauce which is a culinary masterpiece. It tastes the exact same as the homemade bolognese I grew up eating. Incredible, it's the first time a dish brought me to tears. I highly recommend trying this place out if you're ever in the mood for real Italian food. Thank you Il Centro.
