“Lloyd's Jamaican patties have a popular reputation in town, so I was looking forward to the opportunity to try some. Eventually, I found myself in the area and made sure to grab some.I got a regular Beef Patty and a Spicy Beef Patty. They were served very hot. The patty exterior was crispy and flakey. The meat filling was wet, less textural, and there's plenty of air inside.My experience with Jamaican patties was during my university days at UBC, so I'm not sure what is authentic and how it should be. I just know that I enjoyed these Jamaican patties. I would love to try the chicken next time to see how they compare.“
“Great food! I'm so happy that we found this place. This was our second visit and the food was excellent both times. And the staff is so friendly. We're not from Calgary, so a friendly face and authentic flavors are appreciated. We had the oxtail, curry goat and jerk chicken with rice and pea. Enjoy!“
