Joey’s Seafood Restaurants

Been coming here 36 years. Must be under relatively new Mgmt. Menu advertises hand dipped battered fish and fresh cut potato French fries. I ordered two pieces of cod and fries. If I’d have had wanted a box of Captain High Liner Frozen Cod and Chips I’d have cooked up the one in my freezer at home! Although the service was excellent the food was garbage. Bitterly disappointed. Never again.

My husband and I visit Joey's Seafood Restaurant on Crowchild quite often and love to bring our friends and family. The restaurant is run by a very friendly couple: Peggy (who looks after the dining area) and her husband (chef in the kitchen). The service is always good??. You will receive a friendly greeting when you enter; the menu and specials will be explained; the food is delicious; the fish is lightly battered; and the fries are a generous portion. You can tell that all the ingredients are fresh from the first bite (even the dipping sauces) and the meal is served hot ! Haddock, Cod, Calamari and Tacos are our favourite. Yum! The restaurant is so clean and tidy. We highly recommend Joey's on Crowchild. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Peggy, we will, for sure, see you again!

Quaint little restaurant, with great customer service and really good food. The haddock was not only very well cooked, but the pieces were plentiful. It was a very tasty meal and you don't leave hungry! In fact, I was so full that I had extra to take home from a three-piece meal. The customer service was very attentive and friendly. The prices were very reasonable. Definitely a restaurant I will visit again.

Ordered online, and food was pretty well ready when I arrived at time of pickup. Got it home, it was well packaged, and still nice and hot. Meal was very tasty, and rice was very nicely done also! Would go back again.

July 14 Ordered through Uber, Cajun cod and shrimps and added extra cod and coleslaw. Cod very tasteless, no salt or Cajun seasoning, fries dry and received only 3 broccoli. $48 Overpriced!

Party of 5 we all had a combination of haddock/cod and chips as well as streat taco combination. The food was great but the service was very poor. Our waiter wasn’t around much after serving our food and we had to walk right over to get a box to bring our leftovers out, and had to ask for our bill. It took the waiter 7 minutes to process our payment after chatting on the company phone and using her own personal phone to text message someone for almost 5 mins. This is very unacceptable in many ways and needs to be addressed.

2 long, thin pieces of fish, batter crispy, but overall bland. Fries were adequate, but no more. So, fish, fries, and ONE lemon wedge were the entire meal. At a steep enough price. Server was cordial, but mostly absent. So it was more "neglect" than service. Considering I was the only diner present for most of the meal, this was inexcusable. I don't want a server to hover, but clearly, visiting with back-of-restaurant staff and visiting was much higher priority than the one customer they had. Not very likely to vome back, and, judging from several other reviews, I'm not the only one.
