The Best of all the Joey's fish and chips restaurants. The chef has been there forever and he knows how to get fish. Trust me, this place blows away all other fish and chips

Went there for dinner tonight. Husband ordered Joey's Famous Fish with fries, and he enjoyed the fish. I ordered the chicken bites as a meal with fries. The bites came out covered with red onions (not noted on the menu). I asked to have them redone as I really do not like red onion. The order came back uncooked. The cook gave the reasoning that the chicken is marinaded in Frank's Buffalo Sauce and that gives the meat a pink look. He said it was fully cooked. It was not and I was not about to take the risk. The bite I did try had zero Buffalo flavor. Anyway, I didn't eat it and explained why. When the bill came out, the bites were on the bill and the server went on to say the cook says they were cooked properly. I told her I wasn't paying for them and she took them off the bill. We were not offered water when we sat, and were not asked if we wanted pop refills. Just a poor experience.

The food is amazing! Compliments to the back-of-house team, they really did a great job cooking it. I encourage you to try the Carpaccio, it’s the best I’ve ever tasted

Quiet inside, others in the restaurant were all smiling and I was too with the food I ate. I plan to come back and bring which ever friend of mine that has got the free time.
Kid-friendliness: Children and people of all ages are welcome. A very welcoming experience I had when I came most recently. 5/5 would recommend!

We had the joeys famous fish for lunch and it was great. Server was awesome as she left us alone which I prefer instead of being asked every 5 minutes if my meal is ok. Price was reasonable as it can be nowadays and will be back again at some point.

This is the first time I have reduced my rating for a restaurant based on the atmosphere. The food was honestly incredible, but the place is completely run-down, looks like it's falling apart, and is FILLED with flies. The server looked like they just... Didn't really care. It's a real shame because it was probably some of the best seafood I have found in Calgary so far, but I honestly almost walked out before even ordering because the flies were grossing me out.

Been coming here 36 years. Must be under relatively new Mgmt. Menu advertises hand dipped battered fish and fresh cut potato French fries. I ordered two pieces of cod and fries. If I’d have had wanted a box of Captain High Liner Frozen Cod and Chips I’d have cooked up the one in my freezer at home! Although the service was excellent the food was garbage. Bitterly disappointed. Never again.

Fish and chips with shrimp. Pakora Battered fish along with the Mango Pickle Tarter Sauce. Incredible! Shrimp in garlic butter. Opted for Mashed potatoes for a side.
Recommend trying Around the World new flavors.
