To the Management of the Dalhousie Branch,
You may not know us personally but we have been regular customers of yours for quite a time now. If you put premium on customer satisfaction and building good rapport with your clients, hear us out.
We've thus far been very satisfied with the quality of food and hospitality of your servers... until a fateful experience today. We were a group of 6 waiting for 4 of our orders, only to discover that one of your new servers, Devina, missed putting it in.
When we politely brought this to her attention, she rather simply said, "That's only 4 orders, right?" This isn't the response we were looking for at the very least. Does that mean she can miss more than that? We were looking for her to at least own up to her mistake by proactively issuing a sincere apology for making us wait as we were beginning to lose our appetite.
We had to elicit an apology from her by saying we were waiting forever, to which she responded, "Sorry, that's just a mix-up." When she handed us the bill, first thing she emphasized was that she was inputting the 15% mandatory tip for our group of 6. It was all about the money and never a hint of remorse.
We still honored the 15% tip of course, albeit with a heavy heart. We could've reasonably argued against it. But no.
Sure, it's good food but this unfortunate experience left a bad taste in our mouths, having to be on the receiving end of this poor approach at customer service, or the lack thereof.
I think the management needs to train these new servers better. If they mess up, they don't simply brush it off like it was nothing, because it's not, in the eyes of your loyal clientele. It's customer service 101. Servers are frontliners of your business and a huge part of the experience. Poor service is a poor reflection of the restaurant. This was truly very disappointing.

Had lunch with a friend I haven't seen in years at the Dalhousie location. Greeted immediately and was seated at the perfect table. We tried the mini Miso Ramen bowl a couple of sushi rolls and the Avocado tempura. Everything was delicious and all the servers were great. Very reasonable prices too.

Seating was comfortable, nice and spacious. Food was fresh and tasty. Sushi is cold and fresh. Rolls are always spot on. Would recommend the Signature and Rainbow rolls. Food came out in a timely matter.

A very busy place, perfect for those who enjoy a Japanese-style atmosphere. The food was okay, but I’ve definitely had better. The $38 sashimi platter was served on a long, narrow plate with the fish cramped together, which wasn’t very appealing. We waited over 10 minutes before I had to ask who our server was, though the food did arrive quickly once we ordered. They’ve also expanded into a bakery, but unfortunately, the pastries didn’t look very enticing either.

Ordered some sushi to go so can't comment on atmosphere or service but the food was really not good. Little bit slimy, fishy, too much mayo. I didn't even finish any of my rolls.

Horror is the worst KINJO I liked other places but this is my first time in this location
The chicken was overfried, we were offered one set of chopsticks and sauce for two people, when two people were standing in front of the cash register, and the seller did not understand why I was asking for additional chopsticks
The food is average, but the price is really cheap! There are so many customers during meal time that you need to wait for a table. The hot California roll is delicious. The order is a lot but the food is served very quickly.

Terrible service, food was really small and overpriced. We all had food poisoning, not sure if it was from the food or bubble tea we had at the restaurant. I do not recommend.
I have been to 5 Kinjo locations in the city and I have to say this location is the absolute worst. Service was delivered with snooty, teen like attitudes, you can tell the servers are mostly students that don’t take pride in what they do and have no clue what the meaning of customer service is.
The food was also not that great, compared to other locations. Did not feel valued as a customer, more like an inconvenience. My boyfriend had politely asked if he could have low sodium soy sauce (simple request), the girl acted like he had asked her to do some major task. Then he just said she can take the other regular soy sauce since we weren’t going to use it, and she proceeded to make a snippy comment “is it really that big of a deal if it’s there”. Wish we caught her name, very unpleasant person, small girl with a whole lot of attitude.
We will most definitely not be returning to this Kinjo - thankfully other locations in the city do a far better job all round.
