La mejor! Popped in for coffee during a noon-hour work meeting with my colleague. We were delighted with the warm welcome & service from Andriana & her husband. Coffee, food, hospitality, ambiance are tops! I left with specialty foods from Argentina & unique flavoured salad dressing. We now make this our go-to meeting spot. A MUST!

9f were for me I can give -5 sfars, I went to ask for rental kitchen, and the equitmebt thay I need is a frier and and a stove, Inqas told, that they don't have frier, but she changed her mine right away sayung that she has a frier, but doesn't use it because the oil has ti be change, great resolution to my problem, useless and patetic service, thank you.

My brother and I were driving by and saw they were open so we stopped in. Andreina was so kind and helpful. We ended up chatting with her for about 30 minutes. We tried a few samples of Latin products and samples of award winning items made here in Alberta. Fantastic selection, good prices, very knowledgeable. Absolutely worth a pop in. Will absolutely be going back!

Great little shop. Home made Mexican meals. All kinds of Latin foods,drinks,treats. I bought my favorite de la Rosa mazapan original . Great staff.

I stopped by to purchase some hot sauces for a birthday present. The lady who helped me select sauces was very helpful and the shop was very cute, but the sauces are expired. One sauce expired in June 2023 and the other expired in April 2025.
Edited June 19, 2025: I am editing my review to add that the shop has refunded my money for the expired sauces, and for that I’m giving five stars. They were super polite about it and very quick about issuing a refund. I truly appreciate their integrity and professionalism. I will go back.

This past Saturday, my friend Diana and I discovered a hidden gem in Calgary—Latin Food Specialties, a cozy Venezuelan spot near the Chinook C-Train stop. This place is an absolute treasure for anyone craving authentic Venezuelan flavors!
From the moment we walked in, Andreina, the wonderful lady in charge, welcomed us with a warm smile and outstanding hospitality. One of the first things that stood out was how impeccably clean the kitchen looked—we could see everything from our table, and it was spotless!
Andreina kindly offered us samples of her frozen products, and let me tell you—I wasn’t planning on buying anything extra, but after trying her empanadas and tequeños, I completely fell in love with them! I had to take some home.
For our main meal, we ordered cachapas with pork and beef, both with cheese, and they were absolutely delicious. Every bite was packed with flavor, instantly bringing back memories of my hometown. The perfect balance of the sweet corn pancake with the savory fillings made it an unforgettable experience.
But that’s not all—Latin Food Specialties also offers coffee, a great selection of Latin sodas/pops, candies, chocolates, and other Latin products that will transport you straight to Venezuela and beyond. Despite the GST tax holiday I was charged GST anyway. Wondered why my arepas cost more than the price on the wall, did the math and it matched. Don't they know what's going on? Either these people are idiots or they're thieves. Which is it???
