I used to love our lazy loaf order and would regularly order from them via skip the dishes. Over time, we have stopped using skip as their support is terrible. The only time I will order on skip is to get a lazy loaf order. However unfortunately that will also now stop. The last two times I’ve ordered from lazy loaf, I ordered a turkey sandwich. Both times the order came, the turkey is missing. Best part - can’t even get a refund cause we received “part” of a sandwich. WELP, we tried.
Great cinnamon buns! Update (May 2025). Still a great neighborhood bakery/cafe near the Bow River. I think the baking has gotten better over the past few years. The cinnamon buns are even better now.
Very good food, fast and clean.
A nostalgic gem rediscovered—still just as wonderful!
I used to come here with my dad for lunch all the time between the ages of 13 and 18, before I moved to Lethbridge. When I was a kid, I’d always order a Caesar salad and a lemonade—it was our little tradition.
After coming back to Calgary years later, I feel a bit badly admitting I forgot this place existed… until my husband and I randomly stumbled upon it again. I’m so glad we did.
The food is still fantastic. The treats and drinks are delicious, and the coffee is excellent. It felt like stepping back into a warm, familiar memory—but with new favorites to enjoy, too.
It’s truly a gem, and I won’t be forgetting it again. Already looking forward to our next visit!
I had a great breakfast here. I ate the Ham Eggs Benny and it was delicious. The coffee was also really good and their fruit was super fresh! I'll be back for sure!
Nice spot, pricey food that you'll still be hungry after.
This was our first time coming here. They had many sweets and crossant sandwiches. Large in size. They were very tasty. I had the bananna bread. I would recomand this to others. The only negative comment is i would like to see prices on the items instead of guessing and getting the cashier to turn the moneris to the customer so they can see the amount due, instead of just tapping and then asking if i want a recipt.

The food was absolutely amazing!! We built our own sandwiches and I’ve never been so happy with how fresh everything was. This will definitely become a staple in my everyday.

The baked goods here are so delicious, especially the cheesecake. But recently they started skimping on the frosting of their cream cookies, and it makes them significantly less enjoyable to eat. And while I really like their baked goods, every time I've ordered the eggs Benedict the eggs have been overcooked.

I got a "create your own sandwich". The inhouse smoked pork was amazing, the other ingredients good aswell, I expected the house made iced tea to be a bit sweeter but it was good still. The coffee was decent and the eat more bar and the chocolate explosion cakes were awesome.
I would give 4½ stars if possible. I love my bread toasted, but it wasn't for the build your own. What I saw on the pictures on google probaby were the hot sandwiches. Maybe make that an option on the menu.
Vegetarian options: if you don't want meat you can get extra cheese or egg salad instead
Parking: theres plenty parking spots for all the restaurants there for up to 2h

Usually I like the hole in the wall, or non-chain restaurants and cafés. But in 2024 to not have any vegan options is a bit of an embarrassment. Just shows laziness when there are very simple swaps that could be made.

Food was okay. Asked for decaf I did not get decaf. Croissants are way too dense to be called a croissant. And the service is sorely lacking. Maybe try a smile. Or a how are you? Like basic customer service.
