Was a wonderful breakfast! My eggs were a perfect over medium the bacon was crispy but not dry and the bread was the best sourdough I have had. The staff were lovely. The music was current and not too loud. The dining area was clean.

It's a very busy and popular brunch spot, maybe a little too popular. The eggs Benny was alright, but the omelette was made with liquid egg product. It's cafeteria food.
Great sandwiches and house made breads, other baked good and cakes, squares and some pastries. Have been vomiting it for more than 15+ yrs. Although the size of their sandwich bread has shrunk a little. Dine in and take out.

Floor was very dirty.
Table wasn't very clean.
There was a dead fly stuck to the window beside the booth.

We wanted to like this place for breakfast so much, we gave it several chances but it’s just not good. It needs a good cleaning inside. Omelets were runny. Eggs Benny overcooked and had egg shells. Never had a really good meal here.

Lazy Loaf and Kettle is a very cozy, very busy cafe!
TLDR; it’s cozy, it’s busy, seating is crowded (no more than 4), prepare to line up for dine in and take out, food is good, espresso based drinks probably not so much. Catering is their standout feature!
They have lots of treats to offer, from mammoth sized cookies to my favourite, puff wheat squares!
I tried their Kettle Bunwich and it was stellar! I’ve been here previously and had their Reuben sandwich, and I didn’t like it as much because of how difficult it was to eat as a “sandwich”, the bites were tough.
Their lattes however were very disappointing. I will probably not get any drinks from here going forward. I’ve ordered them on two different occasions, with oat milk, but the espresso tastes old or non existent the two times I’ve tried. It felt like more milk than anything, and even then, the milk wasn’t steamed well.
Lazy Loaf and Kettle definitely needs a refresh inside, the walls are a bit grimy (flecks of long gone drinks, soups and more). The tables and chairs are old and don’t look well cleaned over the years.
If you’re looking to sit down and study, this place is a bit noisy, crowded and bustling. The tables are seated quite close to one another, and there’s very little room to line up or move around in. I wouldn’t say it’s great for groups bigger than 4!
The system here is to order first, and find your own seat. They’ll bring your food to your table but not your drink, instead they’ll shout it out from the counter (not a problem, sometimes hard to hear, that’s all).
If you come during “brunch” hours, make sure you find a table before you order dine in! And make sure you have time to wait in line! It can get very busy! There isn’t anyone dedicated to the till, so sometimes you have to wait because they are making a drink. Happened both times when I visited in the past year.
Finally, catering! We cater from here for work all the time. They are amazing at catering and their sandwiches are top tier when it comes to catered sandwiches! Additionally, they can do individual bagged lunches and are so accommodating when it comes to individual preferences and dietary restrictions. It’s probably the best quality of Lazy Loaf and Kettle!

The food is delicious. We especially love the build your own sandwich. Desserts are huge and also delicious, coffee is divine. We always make sure to stop when we are in that area of the city.

I'm a bit dismayed at the unpleasant service I've received at this establishment the last few times. The food and drinks are below average on a good day. It's disorganized, it's messy, it's just not worth it anymore.
