We came across Avatara by chance through a Google search of 'vegan restaurant near me'. We were in Shawnessy for a couple appointments, and are unfamiliar with the south side of Calgary. Anyway, we arrived at lunch time, and it was pretty quiet. We ordered the Crusty Cowboy, made vegan. It was absolutely delicious. This place rocked! Best gluten free pizza crust we have ever had, and everything in the restaurant is gluten free so there was no risk of cross contamination. Our server was also awesome. Overall an incredible experience!!

My co worker friend recommended this place as he's always scoping put the best places to eat! What an amazing restaurant with high quality, safely prepared gluten free delicious food and the best service as well! My husband and I will be making sure to visit from Cochrane again. As a celiac, it can be a bit nerve wracking when dining out. The staff at Avatara make sure you have the best experience and let you know you're safe and welcome!
