Leopold's Tavern Calgary - Elbow

We ordered a blackened chicken ciabatta with a side of mac and cheese and a crispy chicken sandwich. When we came in it wasn't busy and several of the tables were not cleaned. We were told we could sit anywhere so we chose the cleanest looking table. We arrived at 2:09 and were not informed of any specials, not told it was happy hour ( which would have changed how and what we ordered). After we ordered it took a very long time for the food to come out, The chicken sandwich was ok , the fries were not fresh, nor hot and the mac and cheese that came with the blackened chicken was stone cold. Had our server (Kiana M) bothered to swing by the table to inquire we would have told her. As it was we were just so disappointed we ate what we could. 10 minutes after out plates were pushed off to the side and our glasses empty(not once did she stop by the table to see if we wanted a refill either) the server finally came by noticing we were done and asked if we just wanted the bill. We paid and left. Dissatisfied & disappointed.

Posting this review because there are nights when I wake up in a cold sweat, salivating and dreaming about the absolutely heavenly creation that Leopold's has come up with.

A jam packed gut buster filled with 3000+ calories worth of fries, cheese, gravy, turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and greens for garnish. This guaranteed food coma is not for the weak hearted, its not even for 2-3 weak hearts because thats who I came with and we were defeated.

I wish they had this more often, but I also thank them that they do not have this more often. Amazing restaurant, atmosphere and vibes. Love it here <3

I ordered for pickup and everything was ready on time. The food was delicious. I tried the plant-based buffalo ranch wrap and the plant-based tenders and they were great. I highly recommend the poutine of the week and the boneless chicken wings.

First off, the food and the vibe here is amazing . Been a local for a while and all of my food and atmosphere experiences here have been great.
However, Service lately has been lackluster at best, and this last time my fiance and I went, it was miserable .
Again, the vibe was great, but from the moment we walked in ,the server (guy with the beard) seemed annoyed that we were even there .
Everytime he came up to the table he had barely responded and seemed very unwelcoming.
Overall just not as great of an experience as we have had in past times without him serving us

First time visiting Leopold's. I was impressed with the fun atmosphere and service was quick and friendly.

Popped in after a hot and long day of planting and pruning trees for a beer and food. The hospitality was fantastic 👏 We were taken care of very well, even in our state. Thank you, Kate and team 🙏

Leos is my favourite go to wing spot on Wednesdays but really any day any time it’s the best spot !!!

Haven’t been here since it used to be a different pub about 10 years ago. Glad a place like Leopold’s took it over as it was a pretty awesome experience.

We came here after work with a couple coworkers last week for some drinks and food. Our server who I should have gotten the name of was super friendly and chatty and made sure we were taken care of the entire time (I promise I will be back to crush that punchbowl poutine).

The beer selection is really good and from what I remember it changes often so there’s new stuff to try. The food was also fantastic. I got the gyoza poutine which is their poutine of the month and it was not only Super delicious with like half a dozen dumplings and great seasoning and sauce, the portion size was huge and very satisfying.

The decor and vibe of the place was also awesome too. We will definitely be back.

I ordered takeout from Leopold's - the plantbased stacked burger. It was so good it scared me a little as a vegan! Ha ha. Very tasty! I liked all the optional add ons available, too. I'll try it in person next time. 😬

The food and atmosphere of this restaurant is great! I've been here a couple times, trying something new every time and I'm never disappointed. Would definitely recommend!
