My order was taken by an employee who if I am not mistaken, has down syndrome. I am absolutely delighted to see people with disabilities out in public being part of and contributing to society according to their capacity. Kudos to the owners who've taken such an initiative as its been a great pleasure seeing opportunities like this a for people with physical and mental challenges. In itself not only is it good for such people to feel like they are contributing to and connected with society, seeing them out in public has an ancillary benefit which is spreading awareness. I believe the only other place I've seen actively hire like this is The Home Depot... Is there an organization/nonprofit I that I can reach out to that supports equitable employment for people with disabilities?

Oh and yes the latte and cookies were great! Pricey, but competitively on par with what you usually find in dowtown👍

Coffee tastes great and staff are very friendly. I’ve also used them for catering a workshop recently and I liked their offerings the best.

Very friendly staff. Have tried a few of the drink choices. Mocha still my favorite. They have some small snackies too, the banana bread is delicious! In the area and need a caffeine fix? I recommend them.

The best place to start your day is with a hot chocolate and an energy ball. Best place to work with positive people great vibes from everyone.

What a gem this place is. The staff were super friendly and always with a smile on their face. Between that and the stunning feel of the Ampersand building, I couldn't have asked for anything more.

The staff are excellent, the service was fast and friendly and the coffee was delicious! The space the cafe is in is very beautiful and makes it an overall great spot to grab a coffee if you’re downtown!

Went to visit this coffee shop a few months ago to apply for a job and when I handed over my resume I had mentioned that I had a disability (my disability is not visible) when i had mentioned this, this lady (manager) had looked at me up and down with an expression on her face (confused expression) to why someone like me would apply at this coffee shop. Felt a little offended by that approach and a little rude, I might not look like I have a disability in person which I can understand can be confusing but I don't think that approach was appropriate. I was also told there was a waitlist which i was never given information about, i am not sure if that's true or not about this waitlist? This happened in the beginning of 2024. Would've loved to work with you and get some information.
