We had sushi rolls and absolutely amazing. The salmon teryaky roll is my favorite. Piece of constructive feedback for the owners: near the end of our dining (around 7 pm) is started to smell like bleach in the restaurant which was not pleasant. But otherwise I'll recommend this place.

We ordered take out (at nearby hotel) & it was ready when stated and delicious. There was plenty for 4. While we waited we were offered a sample of plum wine, which encouraged us to buy a bottle. Quiet, small, and worth visiting!

What an amazing discovery during our brief stay in Calgary! We randomly stopped at Maru Sushi and Don and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. But the real star of the show was the sushi, absolutely delicious and the freshest we’ve ever had! You can truly taste the quality and care that goes into every dish. If you’re in Calgary, don’t miss this gem. We’re already planning to make it a must-visit stop whenever we’re back in the city. Highly recommend! Delicious. The fish is fresh, rolls are unique, and presentation is beautiful. We tried the sushi pizza, rapture roll, salmon oshi, sunshine roll, and tataki roll. All were exceptional. The atmosphere is perfectly casual but tasteful and relaxing and the service was great. Might be our new favourite spot in Calgary! Highly recommend.

Best Japanese food we had on our trip to Canada! Well worth the wait ( service can be a little slow) although a very busy little spot! After recently travelling to Japan, the food brought us straight back! Top class food!

I visited this restaurant for dinner because the reviews seemed good. It's a small, cozy place with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. However, there's only one server, so you have to wait to take your order or pay. I ordered salmon, tuna, surf clams, and eel nigiri, along with agedashi-tofu and miso soup.
To be honest, the sushi rice was dry and not very tasty. The fatty tuna was hard to chew, and the texture of the salmon wasn't great either. Next time, I'll try something other than sushi.
