My recent visit to the Mikey's was a mixed bag. While the ambiance of the place was pleasant and inviting, with a promise of a return visit, certain aspects left much to be desired.Bringing along a group of friends, we were excited to enjoy our evening. However, the experience soured when a member of the band began aggressively soliciting money for the concert. Not only was the $20 fee for a no-name band overpriced, but the pushy approach of the individual was off-putting and intrusive, dampening the overall enjoyment of the evening for all of us.On a positive note, the service provided by the waitress was exceptional. She was friendly, attentive, and contributed positively to our experience despite the inconvenience caused by the band member.In conclusion, while the bar itself has potential and warrants a return visit, improvements are needed in terms of managing events and ensuring a more enjoyable experience for the guests.

Mikeys gets it! Some others claim to be "Music Venues," then have as many as 15 big screens scattered throughout. What's up with that? Great Live Venue. Haven't tried the grub yet. Thanks.

Decent place to hang out and watch live music, our waitress was nice and attentive when she was taking our orders. She also sang with the band which was cool and she has an amazing voice. One thing I would say, it does take a while to get drinks in between orders but I can understand when there is only really one waitress taking care of a whole section. I would go back and try some different menu items. The guava margarita and tater tots were so good !

Last night, I watched one of the staff tell off a customer. The person, who I’m pretty sure was working, because I saw her go behind the bar later, had strong words to say about a customer who was sitting at the wood. Said customer tried to ask multiple times that this staff member leave her alone. Staff was unrelenting. Customer then got called up on stage. She asked staff to move several times, and ended up having to push through to get away. At that point, staff made a flop stink about abuse and psychopathy, and subsequently removed the customer. I also heard her tell the customer’s boyfriend that he could do better. Is this the type of behaviour that is acceptable in this place??

I visited Mikey's on my last trip to Calgary and will again on my next trip. The food and service were perfect and prices reasonable. The is a great selection of beer on tap and the music was so much fun! Love the place! I want to live down the street so I can go every evening for tacos, beer and live music! One day maybe!

It’s a nice little place with great food. They were pretty busy but when we went in, there was only one waitress working. She was running around and we felt bad for her. We didn’t mind waiting and the food came quickly once we got to order. We will be coming back but it would be nice for the restaurant to have another server or two so the servers aren’t so overwhelmed.

We came upon this place quite randomly and we are so glad that we did! It was a beautiful day to sit on the patio, the service was excellent and the food was so effing good… I highly recommend the quesadilla and the salsa is sooooo good!
