Modern Steak in Kensington vastly exceeded my expectations. The food was fantastic and our server, Naz, was knowledgeable and highly service oriented. The restaurant manager was also a pleasure to interact with. Hats off to Modern Steak for an incredible dining experience.

We had an excellent experience at Modern. Our server was highly knowledgeable of the menu and attentive and friendly. The food was exceptional. We tried the filet trio and enjoyed sampling the different steaks but especially the wagyu, which was divine! The lemon drop martini was also fabulous!

My husband and I just had our anniversary dinner at Modern steak Kensington and we Loved it!The food was delicious, drinks on point, dessert to die for! But what made our night even more amazing was the service we got from Marina!! This lady delivers a 5 star service! It was our first time here, and she made sure we understood the menu, recommended some great dishes and even entertained us with some steak history ;) absolutely amazing service!! We got a complementary tuna appetizer, a delicious chocolate dessert and a very thoughtful card for our anniversary.Thank you so much to Marina and the modern steak team for making our night unforgettable!

I’m so glad we came here for our Valentine’s Day celebration! All staff (host, food runners, support) were so hospitable & accommodating from the second we walked in. Our server, Marina, was the star of the night!! She made us feel so welcomed and had amazing recommendations for food & knowledge behind all of the cuts & origins. As a younger couple, I absolutely loved that she treated us & other diners with respect and kindness— and she even gave several cute freebies to make the night feel extra special.Water was always refilled without having to be asked, food came out fast, delicious, and perfectly cooked. I loved how funny and personable all the team was & even on a busy Saturday night, they were constantly looking for how to make your experience better.I’ve been to almost every steakhouse in YYC & this Modern Steak is definitely my favourite ☺️ If you’re looking for somewhere that will make you feel valued as a customer & actually leave happy despite spending steakhouse prices, this is the place to go! Phenomenal team and guaranteed a safe place to celebrate a special occasion.

The service and food quality experienced during my birthday dinner tonight was unbelievably enjoyable, from a effortless change in reservation timing to the incredible recommendations and service from our host. Cocktails were top notch, (totally recommend the white cranberry cosmopolitan) and the ribeye beef cooked to perfection! Thank you so much for the lovely evening:) a few downsides were the baked Alaska, mashed potatoes and the multi coloured carrots.. Alaska just didn't taste good at all, Considering Reviews were so good.. mash had no seasoning and were very “chunky” and whatever white sauce was on the carrots was very bitter and over cooked... overall my service is what was so delightful and will be bringing me back to share with others:)
