If you’re looking for a fun, vibrant, and all-around unforgettable karaoke experience in Calgary, look no further than Nanta Karaoke Bar. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with such warmth and enthusiasm—it truly set the tone for the entire evening. The staff were beyond amazing, attentive without being overbearing, friendly, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there just as much as the guests. A special shoutout to Chris the bartender, who absolutely went above and beyond for our group! He was not only incredibly skilled with the drinks (his cocktails were some of the best we’ve had in the city), but also super personable, fun to talk to, and had the kind of positive energy that instantly made everyone feel welcome. Chris really elevated the whole experience, and you could tell he takes pride in what he does. As for the venue itself — super clean. The booths and private karaoke rooms were spotless, the sound system was top notch, and even the washrooms were impressively maintained (which is always a good sign!). The whole place had a cool, cozy vibe with modern decor and great lighting that made it feel both exciting and comfortable. The atmosphere at Nanta is unmatched. It strikes the perfect balance between party energy and laid-back comfort. Whether you’re there to belt out your favorite songs with friends, or just sip drinks and cheer others on, the environment makes it easy to have a great time. The music selection was huge and covered EVERYTHING. Everyone in our group found something they loved. Now let’s talk about the food—absolutely delicious. Overall, Nanta exceeded every expectation. Such a fun place! The bar has a great energy, and the karaoke was the highlight of the night. Whether you're there to sing or just enjoy the scene, it's always a good time. The staff were super friendly, drinks were reasonably priced, and the crowd was full of energy. Definitely one of the best spots in the city for a fun casual night out with friends.

ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE - Safety is clearly not a top priority here!
I’ve visited this karaoke bar several times in the past and had good experiences, but unfortunately, my most recent visit was extremely upsetting and left me feeling unsafe. After singing a song, I was approached by a man who persistently tried to get me to sit with him and his friend. I politely declined and returned to sit with my boyfriend. The man then hovered behind us, making me uncomfortable, and eventually told my boyfriend to move out of his way. When my boyfriend calmly stood up and asked him to leave us alone, the man unexpectedly struck him in the face. My boyfriend didn’t retaliate and instead attempted to de-escalate the situation. The situation only worsened when the man’s friend joined in to argue with us, and claimed he either worked at the bar or used to. They offered to “buy us shots” to settle things, which was incredibly inappropriate given what had just happened. What shocked me the most was the lack of urgency from the bar staff. It took quite a while before anyone stepped in. When someone finally did, nothing was done — the man who was physically aggressive was allowed to stay, while we had to leave. We were left waiting outside in the cold for our ride, and I have a medical condition that’s affected by cold temperatures, making this especially difficult. We did nothing to provoke this incident and remained calm throughout. I am left feeling shaken and disappointed, not only by the behaviour of other patrons but by how poorly the staff handled a situation involving harassment and physical violence. This experience has completely changed how I view this establishment. I no longer feel it is a safe environment and would not recommend it to others until serious improvements are made in how the staff responds to harassment and violence.

Most of the songs played were from people that came after us. They kept messing up our orders (giving us drinks we never ordered).
Messed up our drinks twice. Reserved songs but never bothered putting in our song requests while other groups get to reserve their songs

None of our requested songs were played. Was here at 11pm and nothing was played till close, even the fact that we were earlier than others. 👎👎👎👎👎
Free karaoke but they missed my songs and things got confusing. Food overly salty to have pol buy drinks. But free karaoke.
