Today I'm giving NUPO's omakase one star, for the freshness of the ingredients, the acceptable taste, and the presentation. Everything else is completely unworthy of the name "omakase." We were inexplicably placed in the same room as other guests, and we were even seated on high stools at the bar—is this an omakase? The environment was noisy, the music was jarring, and the chef was using the same ingredients to prepare sushi for other guests while preparing sushi for us—so unprofessional. The most outrageous thing was that a male chef-looking person came out of the kitchen three times during our meal and spoke loudly to the two female guests next to us, each time for more than five minutes. I don't know who he was, and he completely ignored us other guests—very rude. So, I can only give you one star today. I also noticed similar complaints made months, even over a year ago, and you promised to improve. So why are we getting the same result again today? I just want to say you don't deserve such a high price, and we will never go there again.

Omakase experience was incredible! Staff were extremely professional and the chef presented each course to perfection. While waiting for our experience to start I really appreciated the attentiveness of the bartender in helping us select drinks. We don't usually drink, but wanted to treat ourselves (we were even more limited having just had a new baby). She walked us through the perfect options for us and I felt really comfortable with a delicious low alcohol drink.

Reasonable tasting menu with some good bites, but mostly “okay” courses. Service and pacing was quite slow at 2.5 hours for 5-6 small courses. Wine pairings came out staggered so generally we didn't have any wine by the time our food came. Fairly low on the list of tasting menus I'd do in Calgary, but reasonable if you're very into the type of food they specialize in.

Our favourite Japanese restaurant never disappoints! The fish is the best in Calgary and the service and ambiance is sophisticated ! I highly recommend Nupo for high end Japanese restaurant!

My partner and I came to the Omakase Sushi Experience on February 6th, and were blown away by the quality on offer. Sure, this reservation comes with a price tag, but the food and sake lives up to it and then some. Exceptional sushi, exceptional service, a magical evening. Many thanks to our server who took the time to chat with us about aspects we were interested in, the sushi chefs that evening, who's work was exquisite, and the whole Nupo team. Cannot wait to return!

Everything was amazing! The host had amazing energy and recommendations, the bartender made a drink that wasn't on the menu which I loved. All the food was fresh and delicious! Would highly recommend to try! One of our favourite restaurants in Calgary!

First time to this venue after several recommendations to try this sushi out! Our server was engaging and attentive and explained each dish exceptionally well. The favourite dish of the evening was the 5 piece sashimi and we had it as a shareable. The prices were on the high side and the quality was fresh and delightful. Only downside would have been our order came out within a minute of ordering and we had to wait about 10 minutes for our bottle of wine. The seating was close to each other but not to the point it felt too close. Would recommend and go again!

The experience was way-way more than I expected! It was exceptional the food, the staff, the service, the ambiance. Our experience at nupo definitely superseded itself, I thought I had an idea. Whatever I thought prior to making my reservation, was 10x better than what I expected. I definitely recommend this restaurant! It is a 1 of 1 for sure!!

Amazing. Food was great. Service was on point. Only complaint is that with the music level, and others talking it was hard to hear what she was telling us about the food. But a rather minor complaint. Highly recommend the sushi experience.
