I’ve been to OEB in Vancouver many times and always had a great experience , the eggs were perfectly medium every time. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. I was told my eggs would be medium-poached, but what I received was soft-poached. I could tell before even cutting into it; it was completely runny. I sent it back, and the second attempt came out medium-hard instead of medium-poached, which I did not request. At that point, I chose not to send it back again and didn’t eat the egg.
I was then told that “they make eggs differently,” which confused me. I went to culinary school, and poached eggs are basic fundamentals. It's one of the first things you learn to do consistently and properly.
Overall, I was disappointed. I had also requested a half order of the eggs Benedict and was happy to pay full price. When I asked for HP sauce, I was told it depended on whether they had it either you have it or you don’t.
The servers were fine, but the gentleman who processed our payment was excellent. He acknowledged the issue and apologized without hesitation. That brief interaction genuinely improved my experience, and he deserves to be recognized for it.

The atmosphere was busy but the service was still on top of things. We enjoyed our food. The fruit crepes were particularly delicious and not too sweet. The chia pudding was good as well, but very sweet. The scramble with vegetables would have benefited from more feta— it was a bit bland. The GF toast was so dry as to be inedible (skip it).
Update: I raised my rating for the food to 5 stars after trying the GF Belgian waffle with berries and whipped cream. Light, moist and fluffy, with a hint of almond! Truly delicious.

Such a nice restaurant! I was so pleased with their gluten free options! I had a delicious gluten free waffle - with their own dedicated allergen free waffle iron! Would highly recommend and would definitely be back! Also amazing Caesar’s!

I'm a farmer and I grew up on chicken farms. I actually know about this. Wish you would realize that the dark yolks you are buying are dark because of the feed and additives that are given to the birds. Restaurants order dark yolks because it gives the impression that the chickens were running around in a backyard eating bugs and insects and thus laid beautiful dark yolk eggs.These additives which often include fish meal, fish oil, marine algae, or recycled oil with fish residues can make the yolk taste fishy. Because the fats take on the flavor of the food fed to the animal. Some chicken farmers mix used restaurant frying oil into their feeds.(my uncle did) We don't want fishy eggs we want eggs that taste like eggs. You are chefs you can do better. Better to hire chefs who have a palette to discern the best tasting egg. Sadly though we are in Canada. What farmers say and what farmers do are often different things.

Had a very good brunch. I had the Classic Breakfast and my wife had the Chicken and Waffles. My meal was done perfect and I would recommend. My wife said her Chicken and waffles was a 12 out of 10. The server was excellent and very friendly.
