The food came almost cold. Tasted old and made without any regard to the recipe. Overpriced. Good sides.

We were lucky to have Andy as our server, guided us through ordering exactly what we needed. Fantastic playlist playing in the background. Food was amazing. Wish we found this place years ago

The band doing sound checks below us were so loud. It was unpleasant to hear and feel the vibrations while trying to have dinner out at 6 pm on a Friday. The pathetically small table that resembled a cupboard door was awful. Too small for 4 people and then a glass if beer got knocked over because of the deep ridges in the door/table. Thankfully this was toward the end of our experience. Two of the 4 guests left with beer on their pants. Not good.
We came to Palomino for dinner this week. We were drawn in by the many positive reviews on Google; however, our dinner experience here was sadly underwhelming.
All the seating on the main level appeared rather old and rickety. One patron next to our table fell from his chair to the floor because a leg collapsed on his seat. My own seat was unstable too.
Those over a certain age cohort will have difficulty reading the menu. The lighting was poor and the print on the menus was small. Our table, and a few others nearby, read the menu by accessing it from our phones.
A couple of us had the sliced Alberta beef brisket sandwich. It was disappointing. Some rather dry beef on a bun that didn’t have anything on it -- although it included your choice of two small sides so that helped to liven things up a bit. Unlabelled condiments were available at the table. My gluten free bun was not overly fresh and came with a surcharge.
We experienced terrific smokehouse dining in Invermere, BC (Smokehouse 93) earlier this year and we were hoping to find a similar dining experience in Calgary. Unfortunately, this was not it.

Been a while but the wings were still really good. The fries however were a disappointment. They were replaced with thin ones. Not a fan. Service and atmosphere still great 👍

The music was too loud. In our group was a person with hearing aids. I asked the waitress twice to turn down the music it did lower for a while then increased again in about half an hour. Also two of my party ordered poutine, they were very disappointed , the meat was good but fries and poutine were not great. But we ordered dessert and it was very very good. Because of the loudness of the music. And the inability to hear each other, I will not be back.
Fun, noisy dinner before a concert. Food was delicious-they do brisket well, super tender.

Legendary smokehouse for a reason! Killer brisket and unforgettable ribs 🔥 the bacon-wrapped corn and garlic fries are insane as well. We’ve tried dine-in and takeout, both good experiences. Love the casual vibes and friendly service. The 2 meat platter fed two of us well, and the fatass platter left three of us too full to move. Can’t wait to keep coming back here

I loved this place. I was eating late lunch alone & the bar tenders were all friendly and kept me engaged. They also recommended some amazing places for dinner and drinks. I had the pulled pork egg rolls & fried green beans. Both amazing.

Awesome place downtown that our friends introduced us to. The best bbq grub that I've had so far, pushing a few of the bigger places into the shadows! Pre-Saddledome concert, four of us shared a big platter for dinner and had a few drinks since we are all wincing at the Saddledome prices. Splitting the bill made it quite inexpensive. We didn't have time to enjoy the live entertainment downstairs which was too bad - it sounded great! However, add in super friendly and efficient servers, an atmosphere full of character and live entertainment downstairs, the Palomino Smokehouse is my new BBQ go to!
