I was last here in 2018 and we had such a great experience when I was back this week with a different group I suggested we had to go here. Unfortunately the quality has declined. Two people in my group found their meal was only lukewarm and my brisket was a bit dry. It was still fairly good, but nowhere near the quality from a few years ago. The waitress was very nice and the atmosphere is causal, comfortable and rustic. Photos compare the meal from now (red checks) to 2018.

They say their patio is dog friendly….
But all we were told was “no dogs.”
Which fine of course we understand that but why advertise that your patio is dog friendly???

Ok, what to say! The best!! It's hard to find good bbq, let alone amazing bbq. This place is one of the best places I've had, the best, every time I eat here. My first time here was back in 2011, got hooked. I'm from Vancouver BC but every time I'm in Calgary, I have to eat here. Almost always get the Alberta cheese steak. It's my go-to. My wife had the pitt boss, slammin! My kid got the brisket sandwich. She destroyed it. Decor is awesome. Music fits the vibe. So, you got to try this place.

Definitely grabs your attention and leaves an impression right when you walk in.
I love the decor in there.
I didn't have a chance to grab anything to eat but it definitely smells good and people were enjoying their meals.
The entrance to this place is right off of 7th Avenue between 1st Street West towards city Hall.
Great place to come and have some lunch or dinner and a few frosty ones.
Down in the basement there's another huge space that has live music on the weekends.

Overall great vibes I'm glad that I walked in today.

Incredible food and Amazing place for those with allergies. Tons of gluten free options and no nuts in the restaurant. One of the best restaurants and venues in the province

I go here every year for a Stampede event and they have really good brisket, ribs and fixings. The wait staff were very nice and hospitable.

Absolutely awesome! The food was delicious, (we had the burger) the server 'Haley' was Amazing. The live music that was downstairs made our table vibrate but understandable! For the side dish, get the garlic fries and brown beans!!! 😋

Walking distance from my hotel.

Sat at the bar, service was adequate, it was busy so it was difficult to catch the attention of the bartender.

Food was ok as well, Ceaser salad had garlic confit on it (too much garlic for me). The fries were also fried in a garlic oil again a bit over-powering and my smoked turkey sandwich was a bit dry.

Atmosphere was fun and bar-like, I enjoyed!

So disappointing. As soon as we sat down to order we were told they were out of most sides on the menu so everyone already had to make changes to what they had planned on. We were then told they were out of this or that and I don’t think half the table was actually able to get what they wanted. We were also informed that there was an automatic gratuity for parties 8 and larger but the menu stated that it was for parties 10 and over.

This was all at 6pm on a Monday. I won’t be wasting time here again.

We hired a local guide to walk us around Calgary through tours by locals. When we were done she recommended this place for lunch. The food was very good and the service very nice and friendly. The atmosphere was basically a bar but not that bad. The pulled pork sandwich was very good.

The food and service was top notch. Stools could be a bit more comfortable. Great live music too.
