We arrived at 4pm, due to prior engagement before hand
The place is deco in a fisherman theme for sure, shark, pier wood, and thick rope all around - I feel like near the ocean already LOL
He ordered the Cod fish and chips and I ordered the calamari with seafood chowder,
I love their tartar sauce, probably one of the best one I have ever encountered,
Although I cannot really tell that Cod is really a Cod fish, since I know most of the Cod fish is thicker piece instead of the one that they showing on the plate
Anyhow, if next time I want fish and chips, I think Pelican Pier would be a nice choice,

I have been going here for a long time now, when I was still in university and the previous owner ran it. The quality, portion, and attention to detail hasn’t changed. The current owners care about the food and if it’s been properly cooked which I respect. The fish and chips here are always fresh and cooked properly. It can get busy at times though. If you’re looking for some solid fish and chips, you need to try pelican pier

At our table, where we spent about $350, our meals that were not deep fried were as hard as hockey pucks. So extremely over cooked, probably the worst that I’ve had in a restaurant; maybe in my life. I have negative things to say about the service but I won’t bother- we won’t be going back.

This is the 2pc haddock, with chowder. A hug appetite will be wanting for more but with chips instead of soup it should satiate most. The fish was slightly sweet, crispy, juicy, and not greasy. The chowder was very tasty full of white fish and veggies. I havn't had this style of chowder much in my life but I was told by my sweetie it was much like what she has had on the Oregon Coast. The chips were standard but tasty.
Service was friendly, reasonably fast and atmosphere was cute and coastal aswell, definitely good ocean vibes. Also noteworthy was the cleanliness of the dining room was great, lots of nicnacs but they weren't covered in grease and dust like so many other fry places are.

I had the Pollock and chips and my partner had the haddock and chips. Mine was very slightly over cooked but we both enjoyed it. We also tried the seafood chowder with was a bit under seasoned for our liking. All in all a good meal. Casual dining, good service and reasonable prices.
