They have pie, it’s not great, and it’s expensive. The ladies at the counter were nice though.

I have been a fan of Pies Plus since it opened. A special family business with a pie crust that defies any of the best at home crusts I have had Very reasonable prices and friendly service A true gem in this world. Was looking forward to trying this new cafe instead of the same neighbourhood Tim’s. What a mistake. Very overpriced ($9.15) for an average slice of peach berry pie and a small coffee. Sad to say the coffee was great but the pie was at best …… mediocre. I make a better homemade pie crust than that, so back to Tim’s we go!!!!

The food was ok, but it's not really nice to see sad facing staff when you go to take breakfast in the morning.

Was super excited to try these guys since they have such a massive selection and should know pies, and decided to try the apple pie since that's our favorite kind. Man were we disappointed. I assume these are made with better quality ingredients than the average grocery store pie, but the one we got was so bland. It was jam packed, a huge pie, but the taste was such a let down. I would love to hear Gordon Ramsay to do a surprise review of the apple pie, I'm certain I'm not crazy to think it should have been better.

Fantastic pies, pricy but worth the extra money. Nice that they give a cash discount, unfortunately they don’t take credit. The person I placed my phone order with was kind to let me know about both of these points, so I wasn’t surprised on arrival to pick up.
Lovely place to stop for lunch. Had an egg salad sandwich and a lemonade, the lemonade was particularly wonderful on a hot day.

We were kindly gifted the Cherry Berry pie. The first bite we loved. But as we continued to eat the pie it was apparent that it was way too tart. Not nearly enough sugar to cut through the acidity. We even sprinkled sugar all over the top and it wasn’t enough.

Great place for a quick sandwich and coffee, with a pie to go. Seating inside or out. Large selection of items. Terrific service!

highly likely this will be my last visit to support this business. I have reviewed Pies Plus before, once because the same staff person was always very unfriendly and other reviews here had also mentioned the same issue with the same staff, lady long hair ponytail, glasses, comments/complaints about this person. unfriendly unprofessional staff would be better working in back of house and not directly with customers being subjected to her rude, impatient attitude. every other person i have ever dealt with here is nothing but friendly, helpful and professional. well today she didn't disappoint! I was having lunch with my sister in the cafe as we had not seen each other for many weeks so it was great to catch up with her and a friend i had not seen for a year also came in and i was thrilled to see her and chat for a bit. My dear friend had surprised me with a gift of a PIE which was so thoughtful and kind. I was really excited to pick out the pie and wanted to share this great gift with my sister (I live alone and did not need a whole pie!) when i asked the lady behind the counter if i could choose my favorite which was chocolate coconut cream and she replied yes, so then i asked her if i could get a couple plates as i wanted to share some with my sister (we had already purchased and eaten lunch here) and the staff lady replied "no you can't eat it here". I actually thought she was joking but NO, she was not, when i realized she was in fact serious, I repeated "I can't eat a piece" and she said "NO". then she told me "you wouldn't go to a bakery and order a cake and sit down to eat it". What the heck?!? it was more than a little upsetting that my excitement for this special gift was now being thrown back at me that i was not allowed to enjoy it?!? weird policy, but mostly it was the ignorant snotty attitude that had me more upset! so i asked her if i could get a container to give my sister some to take with her and she very begrudgingly got me a tiny container but no utensils in order to cut a piece, and obviously that would have been asking for WAY TO MUCH from her! during the pandemic i decided I would support the smaller businesses and not the big food chains and that is how i discovered Pies Plus, but I am sure disappointed in the treatment of this one staff member and in future i will be spending my money supporting other businesses that appreciate customers and treat them respectfully and with kindness! i brushed off her attitude so many times now trying to give her the benefit of the doubt but that time has passed as my generosity has been abused and unappreciated! with so many businesses and restaurants having closed doors and lost their business you would think there would be a better appreciation for providing hospitable service and wanting customers to return? i appreciate the "home cooking" of this cafe but there is so much more to running a business, you can have a good product but if your staff is consistently not friendly, down right rude and impatient then business will undoubtedly suffer because of it. there are many many restaurants to choose from REAL CLOSE to this one that offer good food and good customer service!!!
