My friend and I went here for breakfast, we got seated and forgotten about. Waited 20 minutes only to watch people that came in after us to get refills and orders taken when we hadn't even gotten our water yet. I don't usually walk out of places, but then again most places provide basic service ?

Pancake batter for waffles… This is the absolute worst! Burnt hash. Spoiled condiment in caddy A 20 minute wait ended up being more like 40 minutes. Breakfast for 3 adults and 2 children under the age of 7 with tip $180? Is this the new normal now?

As I travel a lot for work, Diner Deluxe was a high recommendation and ever since when I'm in Calgary, this is my Breakfast home while I'm away. Known for their mazing breakfasts, anything on their menu is delicious. Staff (Paige) are exceptionally friendly and service is second to one in my opinion. Cany wait to go back!

Had breakfast at Diner Deluxe this morning because the food is always excellent. For reasons unknown to us the meal was “on the house”. A pleasant surprise on a Saturday morning.

This is really a breakfast place and going for lunch is an after thought on their menu. Had the Club Sandwich and it came on plain bread, not toasted and I couldn’t get past that, plus the service wasn’t great. Wont be back anytime soon!

Our family from across the US gathered for a week in the beautiful Canadian Rockies and started with a night in Calgary. A server at Ship & Anchor said that Diner Deluxe is her favorite breakfast place so we thought we'd give it a go. Super easy to find, and, though it is not a large restaurant, we were able to be seated quickly - all 14 of us! The food was delicious - the cinnamon roll thing was INSANE (we got 4 for our table of big eaters and really could have gotten 3 - they are HUGE!). The classic breakfast was large (could easily be shared), pancakes were yummy, eggs benedict (without the meat) was a huge hit with our vegetarian eaters, oatmeal was perfect, just too many things to mention. It was all fabulous and the service was speedy, friendly and wonderful. They were never without smiles on their faces while accommodating our many requests. This was a fabulous restaurant for breakfast!

If you are gluten free, this is the place for you! I was taken such good care of here. They can do almost anything gf, except pancakes and waffles. Their hash browns and fries are done on dedicated equipment. And everything is so delicious. They have free wifi and plenty of seating in a nice bright hip setting. An excellent find for a solo traveler with celiac.

Great little diner (maybe 50 seats) serving up all the comfort foods. My burger was delicious (Hi 5, double cheeseburger). I'm guessing the eggs Benny are probably a going concern as well. The waitress was helpful and courteous. I will return

We have tried Diner Deluxe three times now, Always in search of good eggs benny. Coffee Very good service good. Noisey loud music, Conversation not hard but music drow ns it out. Food was cold but the eggs were cooked perfect Hard time cutting through the bacon potatoes cold. They comp. the coffee. We will not try a fourth time.

After being seated by a server, we were lectured by another server on being seated. We had the worst customer experience and will never come here again. With the post COVID world and lots of choices out there this place has not learnt the lessons on attracting customers to help in their business
This was our first stop after landing in Calgary and I haven't been to a place with friendlier staff for a long time. The food here was unique and excellent. Everyone in our group was happy with their meals. We ranged from savory to sweet, from classics to specials. There was the added bonus of them letting us take an extra to-go cup of coffee Can't wait to come again

Our Server was Danielle, we kept our receipt because of how awful the service was. We waited approx. an hour to get a table this past Saturday which is fine, we went for a nice walk. When our table was finally ready, the host brought us to the table where we waited for 5-10 min with no greeting or acknowledgment, had enough time to decide on our drinks and food, patiently waiting for our server. Our server finally comes over, no apology for the wait, or how are you doing... her first greeting is what drinks can I get you... we then tell her we are ready to order our food and drinks.. she tells us we can only order drinks because another table hadn't ordered food yet. I was shocked by this ... I said you can't take our order for food because you have to take another table first? I said you are taking our order for the drinks already why not just enter it all at once? She then shocks us again and says because " I have a system" I then annoyingly said okay whatever and she takes the drinks and then comes back for our order for the food afterwards. When she could have just taken our full order and went to the other table taken their order as well and enter them at the same time and save a step. My bf and I are in the food and beverage industry and we have never had such poor customer service. She did check on our food but it was very disingenuine... and then payment... no thank you for coming in. she simply, took the payment and just walked away. In the time we were there, she touched the table 4 times and that was including her two trips to take our order and the payment. It was my birthday weekend and we were very excited to come for breakfast here, I am disappointed how the breakfast went...This use to be my favourite breakfast place in the city because of the food and the service, but because of the awful service we received by Danielle, we will not be back!

We had a lovely brunch here, lots of choices but I had the jalapeno Chorizo & Spinach Benny, oh my heavens so good. The service was great which made our brunch even better. Lots of space and Covid protocol just a lovely place for brunch.
