Plaka Greek Taverna

Food was enjoyable and the service was terrific. Homely and friendly. The two theatre drama queens that sat nearby, not next to us, insisted on performing while they talked, that is yelled most of the time. We could hear every detail of their banal conversation and mediocre "careers". Annoying. The loudmouths ruined the atmosphere but not the meal. We'll go back and will try again.

This was a first time visit to Plaka Greek Restaurant and hopefully not our last. It was lunch time with friends. We enjoyed Red Boutari wine, Triple dip with pita and a flaming Saganaki for appetizers. Main course was tender roast lamb with lemon potatoes and Greek Salad. Dessert was excellent Baklava and Greek coffee. Where did the 2 hours go? Into relaxation and an enjoyable meal between friends.

I came here for lunch with my family the other day and we were blown away by how amazing the food was. The calamari was so crispy, the souvlakis and salad were delicious, and the salmon was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We also tried the fried ice cream, it was a lot bigger than we expected so definitely a great value for the price.
